Oh I agree about charity shops, definitely made more sense. That said, these days it seems they are more expensive.
Have just finished making heaps of fairycakes and flapjacks. I'll decorate them in the morning before going out, really tired now :(

Don't worry pirate, you're in good company. Me and DH at home on our toddy, all 3 children out - they have a social life, we have the national blinkin lottery and our furry slippers ! Can we join you? :p

  • Nowt wrong with an early night on a sat night, I remember the days when I couldn't not go out on a Fri/Sat night, I don't miss it one little bit! Maybe the dressing up, but the rest of it meh!
*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*
No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!

Yeah I agree with you queen, I don't miss it at all to be honest, even when I was at uni I preferred to just go for a couple of drinks than get completely off my head like the other students..when I stopped drinking altogether I was frowned upon by most as though there was something wrong with me lol..

I dont miss it either. I'm happier and more content now I dont put that pressure on myself.
And my liver is much happier without any alcohol to deal with.

My purse is happier too :)
  • I know what you mean PF, I'm often looked at like I'm a freak when I tell people I don't drink, apart from one night it's been nearly 6 years since I gave it up and have a much more interesting life than I ever used to have when I was in the pub/clubs all the time.

It kinda made me feel sad when I worked in the nightclub, to see all those people every week getting too drunk to stand up or walk home..scary!
