Ohhh I've just been contacted about teaming up with a marketing site to promote uttam direct and rare fashion! I get to review a couple of pieces and host a giveaway in the near future on the blog.

I feel like such a sell out at times, but I do only take advantage of the offers that will benefit/interest readers :o

Still, it's kind of turned my s*** mood around a bit.

It's not a sell out - I wonder whether to do Adsense but that would be a sell out! The yellow tunic I got from TKMaxx a few weeks ago is Uttam.

Today I'm in blue skinnies, the crochet detail top I bought yesterday and black boots. Wearing long pearls and as many thin bracelets in silver and pearl as I could find!

I'm going Ebay like mad this afternoon as I need to pay for this weeks purchases. I will update my blog and comment on at least 5 others!

Uttam dresses used to be fab. Are they still designed by the same Nepali guy who launched the label? I bought a few from festivals many years ago and wore them to death. If you like them, do it, Daisy! You're not selling out if you already like the company.

I've been approached by a couple of companies but to be honest they weren't my cup of tea. If Oxfam or a cool vintage store approached me I'd probably jump at the chance.

I hope it is, I had the most amazing top that I bought at a folk festival by Uttam that I wore to death.

You wouldn't believe how many emails I get offering me stuff, I probably have a reputation for being fussy, but I'm not in blogging for free stuff, so really do only go with what I want to write about anyway!

I had to think long and hard about accepting my phone, but when push came to shove, my old phone breaking on me kind of made the decision :o

    Hm
I really do overthink things don't I? I get a huge guilt complex and need to justify myself over everything.

Sore arms. The nurses took a double approach and stabbed both arms in the hopes of getting blood with less fuss than last time

Poor you, the very thought of blood tests make me knees funny.

You mustn't feel guilty. Whatever you review always comes across as interesting and unbiased!
I can't stand those blogs with pop-up adverts, I know you'd never do that anyway.

Absolutely nothing wrong in buying loads of cheap clothes as long as you do wear them.
It's just the constant buying and chucking out that's all so wrong with our consumerist society.
It's fine if the stuff is passed on to charity shops who can resell it and benefit those in genuine need but the trouble is that lots of younger people bin their cheap cast-offs and it ends up in landfill .
Although I don't shop at Primark I've picked up a few second hand dresses which I've revamped into tops or playsuits. Thats what Vivienne Westwood's trying to promote, getting creative with your old stuff and making it into an updated fashionable piece rather than the constant buying cycle.

I think you've hit it spot on there Goan,
in one of my more guilt ridden moments about buying cheap clothes etc, I realised that actually, I wasn't buying throwaway fashion...everything I did buy was worn till it no longer could be worn, and then re-purposed or recycled in some way. Anything I bought that was an impulse buy was either sold on ebay or passed along to a charity shop, so no wastage.

I think that sometimes as a society we can get carried away with doing what is deemed right, without stopping to thinking about what our personal circumstances require.

Does that make sense? I know I am guilty of this, and will read an article on how we shouldn't buy cheap clothes etc, berate myself and not stop to think about what I've written above until quite a bit later.

i'm done trying on and i like everything but a vest top i really like is too big and not in stock smaller. I've still got another one to come too! Not sure whether to try & sew it in a bit or just give up & send it back... hmm....

On the up side the jumper & cardigan i got are lovely even though one is beige and i'm not normally a pale coloured stuff fan.

beige cardi & too big purple vest: http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab202/marzipanpics/SUC52825.jpg

what i was wearing the other day because what im wearing today is too boring!: http://s864.photobucket.com/albums/ab202/marzipanpics/?action=view&current=SUC52807.jpg (not sure whether i should have lost the belt though, it came attatatched to the shirt but not sure it looks right with a skirt)

Marzipan- the pale colour of the cardigan really suits you. And I love the shirt in the second photo.
