    I'm back from town :D

Daisy, that sounds great ! I look forward to reading

pirate - the tax office still send me a self assessment letter even though I've not been self-employed for over 3 years ! Each year is the same, I get a letter saying I don't need to do SA then 6 months later they send me a return to do. The phrase 'ar5e from elbow' springs to mind . I hope you get it sorted xx I presume you'll be getting a refund? What will you spend it on or needn't I ask :p.

Well, I didn't manage to get a cardigan to go with my dresses :( but I got a few other things instead (pics on my blog). Spent the huge sum of £17 :p :j.

No more spending for me now though, I'm sorted for the next few months - plus I can't fit anything else in my wardrobe :rotfl:.

Alex, could you not be brave and put a pic up? Get some feedback on the top?

Morning, your gorgeousnesses! Hope you're all feeling fine and dandy this morning.

Uttam dresses used to be fab. Are they still designed by the same Nepali guy who launched the label? I bought a few from festivals many years ago and wore them to death. If you like them, do it, Daisy! You're not selling out if you already like the company.

I've been approached by a couple of companies but to be honest they weren't my cup of tea. If Oxfam or a cool vintage store approached me I'd probably jump at the chance.

It's a chilly one today but very bright and sunny. I haven't done anything yet today so I'd better crack on if I want paying at the end of the month. I can't believe that I'll be on Arambol beach in three weeks time, yippee!

My outfit today is yet another vintage shift dress:

    Purple geometric print shift
    Orange elasticated belt
    Two pairs of purple tights
    Purple patent platforms
    Orange and gold costume jewellery

On the blog now if you want to peek!

I'm looking rubbish today, baggy eyes and a big zit (combination of late night, too much alcohol and impending time of the month). My antidote is the brightest shortest clothes in my wardrobe to draw attention away from my face.

Lost - great post about spending cash on quality not quantity. In the old days our grandparents had to save to buy clothes and they were worn to death, patched and repaired until they fell apart. Now kids buy high street stuff, wear it once and chuck it. It makes me want to weep when I see mountains of Atmosphere clothes piled high at jumbles with the tags attached, what a terrible waste.

Same here! I went back to New Look this morning and bought one of the tops I tried on yesterday so am officially banned from getting anything (well, much) new for the rest of the month.

Grr @ Dotty P though - I tried on the pale blue tights last night and they're gorgeous, feel lovely and thick and qualityish. So now I really need a large pair from there in navy blue and all they had were small and medium, argh!!

    Morning Goan :)

I overheard some woman walking away from the tills in Primark saying "oh another two bagfuls of old sh** that I'll never wear and probably throw in the bin". I felt strongly like running after her and shouting "Well why buy them then, you silly bint?"

I wear to death all the stuff I own, seems daft not to!

Alex, I got a 'medium' in tights from New Look and they're quite ample (i'm size 16, only just though, still need 18 in some things!) I think they do dark blue too, saw some in my local store the other day.

Goan, love the outfit today. :D

Thanks, jtb! Love your bargains (just left a comment).

Alex - That attitude is so wrong, you should have asked her to hand it straight over to you! That's the only problem I have with clothes being so cheap. People use them as a quick fix. I'm like you, I only buy if I can justify it.

Ohhh I've just been contacted about teaming up with a marketing site to promote uttam direct and rare fashion! I get to review a couple of pieces and host a giveaway in the near future on the blog.

I feel like such a sell out at times, but I do only take advantage of the offers that will benefit/interest readers :o

Still, it's kind of turned my s*** mood around a bit.

thats good news! :) (you sell out! lol x)

I tried New Look, they had none either! Doomed I tell you, doomed! I really want to wear one of the new floral dresses but it just doesn't go with the pale blue tights.

    Just popping in :)

Mariel youre new boots are nice. I really like the silvery grey and if they were mine i wouldn't be able to bear dyeing them even if they didn't go :p:

And i hadn't looked at people tree dresses before and i love the umbrella one

    Afternoon peeps!

A quickie post- just got back from the Metro Centre wanted to dash in to go to Primark and oh my god they have some lovely things in! I could have spent all day (and the entire household budget for the year!- kids dont need food do they?? lol).

Day one of the no black bottom (teehee) challenge that Goan set me and Im wearing:

BLUE skinny jeans- New Look via ebay (ok kinda cheating but hey they arent black)
    pink cami
nude coloured chiffon ruffle front blouse-Peacocks ages ago thought I would try this again since Nudes are back in.
purple and pink snakeskin print pumps Priceless sale cost me £2.00 lol
    long dangly earrings with charms-?
    pink square bangle-?
green leather look bomber jacket- Primark via ebay 99p or something silly like that.
green and silver patterned scarf- Primark.
Brown slouchy hat with gold thread though- New Look about 2/3 years old now.

    I bought:

rose print skirt with gold waistband
2 basic vests, one black, one white
ditsy print smock vest with tie shoulders
    one black v neck tshirt
one black and white v neck tshirt
white vest with floral butterfly design at the back (so pretty)
    bottle green tights (only 50p!)
stack of stretchy gold and green bangles.

So pretty sensible but needed a couple of basic tops and could not resist another floral skirt and that butterfly vest!

Went into Next and saw a gorgeous purple tea dress which is £28.00 but I have £26 left on a giftcard from my birthday in December so may have to go back and get that....though do I really need another dress????

Anyway will catch up and update blog in a bit (if I get the chance having one of those days! lol)

Alex - I'll pop in Dottie P's tomorrow and see if there's any navy blue left. If not I can have a look on the tights stall on the market and see if they've got any cheapies, too.
Pirate- I haven't fogotten the duckling mission.
