This is th best solution IMO.

its mse to spend well, not always cheaply.

It is better for our economy to buy in a way that emplys close to home, preferably UK, but if not then...close to home. It keeps ur economy stronger, which allows us to buy stuff....

Its better to spend on quality.

Many smaller retailers provide competition in the longterm this is MSE.

It is only MSE to buy cheap/or expensive with in our own affordability. Live on beans if need be save it THEN spend it.

    :T

This is what I *try* to do, but seem to fail a lot right now due to it not being worth investing in clothes due to knowing size will change in the nearish future.
Another one of my "when I'm better" goals is to embrace this as much as possible.

    Morning everyone

I'm off into town this morning to seek out a cardigan for my 2 dresses that arrived yesterday (ebay). I've got one of them on today (pic on my blog) - I'm really pleased with both !

I'm hoping my shoes will arrive today - I can't wait to wear them.

I'll catch up with you all a bit later - have a great morning xx

    Good morning Gals....
its very pretty here....the air is humming with spring.....

A friend left me a copy of Glamour mag ...knowing how much I miss magazines even though I pretend not to...and I'm kicking myself I'm not slim enough for silk shorts....they'd be very me....:)

Has anyone seen the Prada ones with palm trees? For me they are a no-no...I think the silhouetted palm trees look like bikini lines gone wild.

I'm also seriously adoring the Missoni tweed. Its very, very me,:) the white flecked with colours. I adore missoni anyway...one of my favourite hang outs in milan is the Castello, where there used to be the best book shop in Milan and where old, old, old upholstery on chairs on display shouts at me.''I inspired Missoni''.

I am consoling my self that the jacket wouldn't suit me even if I were at my slimmest, my boobs are too big and It would look like an overall....but the skirt.....sigh.

Today I eat only celery....there has to be an answer.....

Oh, but clogs?? CLOGS? No, no, no...we've had such pretty shoes available for the last few years, don't tell me we're going back to clogs? I won't I wont. I do actually have a pair of Candies from last time (what an admission) but the hair of the pony skin wore away badly, and I am too old for candi-pink even if I care to revisit the horror that is the high heel clog.

    They are comfy though....

I was reading Glamour last night (My Nan subscribes for me lol), I cannot stand clogs and agree wholeheartedly on the prada shorts.

Well, I have been up for four hours now, *sigh* after a broken night's sleep. I dont mind the waking up early IF I sleep during the night.

Gotta go out today, post office and blood tests, fun fun fun. At least I've done a couple of hours college work already...I'll be exhausted by the time I've walked to/around town and back.

Outfit today is what I planned to wear yesterday as I've located my belt!
So, striped 3/4 sleeve top, denim shorts, tights, cardi, anchor earrings and gold shoes.

    I love clogs!

That dress is lovely LadyB, very versatile. I managed to step away thankfully!
Magpye - fabulous shoes and they don't look all that impractical although of course any pair of shoes that doesn't actually fit is highly impractical!

I'm sooooo tired, I've not been to bed before 1am any night this week (I get up at 7am) and last night I was falling asleep by 10.30 but since I had company I had to pretend I wasn't constantly dropping off!
I've done an Alpha H face mask this morning so my skin feels lovely, it's one of those that 'eats' your skin for want of a better way of putting it.

    I'm wearing
black pinstripe flares (me made a few years ago)
black long sleeved wide neck t-shirt (me made from two tops)
black and grey striped draped cardigan (Primark, love it but it is way too grown up looking for me!)
purple ballet pumps (New Look, yay for the sunshine!)
    long silver tassle necklace (thrifted)

Needto do some serious crochet today, have promised my youngest 2 - they are 10 and almost 18! 18yo has autism though so she can be very young - that I'll make them a Harry Hill knitted character each for Easter and progress so far has been slow to say the least.

Hope everyone has a good day!
  • Morning all!

Well, I got home yesterday to find that my super duper friend had sent me some LUSH products without me knowing - had a funny message on the box "sorry i can be a ba***rd (given every opportunity) but i LURVE you forever" lol idiot that he is - he isnt actually that mean, he just gets a bit hyper and doesnt realise hes upsetting people (he hasnt upset me - was a belate bday pressie lol)

So my bathroom is now smelling GORGEOUS :)

Im at work today: my outfit is:

Black boots (i love em, need some new shoes!)
    Black trousers (ASDA £5 BARGIN!)
    White vest
    Grey jumper (Jane Norman)

I also have been asked on a date for the end of this month so i think im going to wear that wrap dress from Asos that i brought :)

Just need to do something about my pure white legs  roll on summer!

    Hope you are all well

    Me xx

PF- I hope you get it sorted.

Mariel- I am jealous you can crochet, I just cannot get it!

s'pose I'd best get a move on as I've just been given a list of things to get for the parents whilst I'm out.

    *eta*

MM- how lovely of your friend :)
