    Hi all, hows everyone today?

Well i did my major stock up today for the month.Would have been less but then i thought what if OH's contract isn't renewed so ended up stocking up on flour and yeast. So if all goes to pot and least we'll be okayish. so in total so far i have spent £56.93 between Aldi, Heron and Sainsburys and my cupboards are totally full, as is the freezer and fridge.Going to keep my storecupboard stocked up just in case anything goes wrong.Yes always the pessimist i know.

I bought 4 x 1.5 kilos of strong white bread flour and the same quatity of plain flour so i know were not going to run out of bread for a while. I decided to buy the value loose apples and what a difference they so much bigger and nicer looking than the pre-packaged ones. Also treated us to scampi (£1.49 a bag heron) and mushy peas (18p Sainsbugs), the kids love these so that will happen this month as well.

Oh yeah forgot to post this in case anyone wants these offers:-

Hi everyone £38.38 today in asda which should do us over the weekend and brings my total so far to £77.24 which is under budget for the week - although we re having takeaway tomorrow night so we will probably come in on budget! but to be honest we have lived off a lot of stuff that I already had in so am going to have be careful if i dont want to spend more than £90 next week (although got 2 chickens for £7 in asda today so thats one meal for next week:D) Full stocktake of the freezer me thinks and a trail through some of the meal planning threads on here -this is going to be harder than i thought :(

    Hi everyone

My NSD are those which I don't buy groceries, toiletries and cat food. So had a little shop for milk and a paper and spent £5.96 in the c**p
Going to have to be more careful!

Also had to buy a tyre today - car failed it's MOT because the tyre was worn - should have checked it I suppose - anyway all sorted now. Thank goodness it doesn't come out of this budget.

    Have a good weekend everyone - :)

    Hi all

Weekly shopping done, £17.02 in Mr M and £7.50 in I*eland, total of £24.52 although need to go to A*di tomorrow for a couple of things, couldn't be bothered tonight :o

Good bacon buy in I*eland of twinpack @ £2 so bought 3 of those to stock up the freezer again and 2litres of semi skimmed milk for £1.

Also bought 4 bottles of wine in Mr M - some good half price wines there but that's a different budget thankfully :D

Lazy night tonight, doing nothing, too tired ;) although will probably manage a glass or 2 of red :D

Sorry I've been lazy this week so I did not update my totals as I went along....

I did 3 separate shops for a staggering total of 122.61, meaning there are 147.39 left in the pot. I've spent almost half my budget already

On the positive side, most of the money went on useful 'staples' which I bought in bulk (toilet paper, dishwasher tablets...), so these should last a while.

Nonetheless, this is really quite shameful and I must get my act together as I cannot afford to fail (literally!)
  • Think I've beaten you Botany.! Please can I have the prize for "spent the most of her budget in the shortest space of time" competition??!

Are you ready? Have so far spent £307.38 of a £350 Budget (See told you it was good!) Saying that I'm super stocked got some lovely meals planned for this month, and don't need any more than a smattering of fruit and veg (I Hope!!).

Made a splendid carbonara tonight which didn't curdle along with HM ciabatta-yum yum!!

Have a good and thrifty weekend.

Well I managed my 1st NSD of the month, not through choice my DD of 18months has chicken pox:( now I know why she has been so grumpy. Just hope othe DD gets it. It's been going round nursery for the last 6 weeks thought we had got away with.
Well I think I will make a list of food in the house and see if we can live off the freezer it's full and needs defrosting.
Right off to see if I can do a meal plan for the week.
