Thank you for this I would never have found this myself as Im pretty ignorant when it comes to these things. I got the £10 top up immediately. I had been trying ringing orange without much luck. so thanks again.

£10 TOP UP QUESTION: Is this like a top up card, or is it loaded onto the sim card? I'm going to get one for a friend as a present, but they don't want the £10 top up. Can I keep it myself or is it loaded onto the sim card? Can someone shed some light on this if they have already got one. Thanks in advance everyone.

it's not loaded on the sim, my balance showed as 1p until I phoned Orange & they loaded it on for me.

I got mine yesterday. Plugged in the sim card and then went to the sim register site. Put int he sim card details and the IEMO number of the phone. Within 60 seconds £10 was on the phone.

Watch for the 90 days call rule. O2 have something similar I think (but every 180 days). Its not a case of losing the credit, its a case of them cancelling the whole SIM card. I think most of the mobile companies do this whether you credit was free, free additional or actually paid for.

200 on this one as well. OK, so its not instant profit and there's no free credit BUT.....its completely unlocked, not tied to ANY phone company. Just stick your own sim in.
