Parking Eye - Nasty tricks

Hmmm I received an original 'Parking Charge Notice to Owner' form Parking Eye after attending an event at the Ramada Jarvis Hotel in Inverness. They had provided a sign in sheet for vehicles parked in the hotel grounds and which i duly signed. Imagine my shock and surprise when I received this through the post.
Thankfully I phoned the hotel to complain and they assured me it would be cancelled as the information had been submitted but late.
I have now received a reminder over a week later with pretty pics of me arriving and leaving and the times as evidence of my misdemenour or as they say 'Date of contravention'....I had just drafted my letter to them but having read this thread will now address it to the hotel in the form of a complaint and let them deal with it as they assured me it would be cancelled. I have also said that I will not be using their facilities to organise any future conferences.
There are other users who also have received this.
Now my question is HOW on earth did they obtain my address from the registration.....to my knowledge it is only the Police who will supply this if a crime has been committed and you have to make a complaint for them to do this. If this has been obtained illegally then i need to complain to Data Protection that my information was illegally given out.
Ooooh i'm fuming! Thankfully i know that these are not criminal and the best they can hope to do is take me to court via small claims....well they are welcome to try!!!! but how many unsuspecting people are caught out I wonder! :mad:0 -

Hi everyone,
I recently parked in a supermarket car park operated by PE and was unfortunately held up at a meeting for well over the 1 and a half hour limit. The problem is that my dad is the registered owner of the vehicle and he has now been sent PCN demanding £40 to be paid by tomorrow (as the letter arrived yesterday). My parents being the honest type are trying to get me to pay and have even considered paying themselves to get the company off their backs. I was wondering what the best thing to do would be? I did over stay the limit and I will hold my hands up and say Ii didn't even go into the store but I think £40 is too much to pay for a single space in an empty car park on a Friday afternoon, hence I don't believe any damages were suffered.0 -
You will be advised to ignore them. However you will have to put up with the paper trail they will send.0

Show your parents this forum.
If I sent them a made-up invoice would they pay me to "get me off their backs"? This is no different.0 -
Today I have received a "Parking Charge Notice" from Parking Eye, for £90, with £30 discount if I pay quickly, informing me that I overstayed my welcome at the Range, Colchester. My wife & I purchased something from the shop, and did a bit of local shopping as well for 30 minutes, returning to the Range and taking coffee and a light snack in their coffee bar. I have notified the Range of the "charge", and the fact that we purchased something on the day, and the young lady said that she had had a number of other customers in a similar situation. The Range manager will be contacting me in respect of this, so with luck, they will tell Parking Eye just where they can shove their "charge", in a place where the sun don't shine! I am going to completely ignore any further communications from Parking Eye.0

By [accepting this material|accepting this payment|accepting this business-card|viewing this t-shirt|reading this sticker] you agree, on behalf of your employer, to release me from all obligations and waivers arising from any and all NON-NEGOTIATED agreements, licenses, terms-of-service, shrinkwrap, clickwrap, browsewrap, confidentiality, non-disclosure, non-compete and acceptable use policies (“BOGUS AGREEMENTS”) that I have entered into with your employer, its partners, licensors, agents and assigns, in perpetuity, without prejudice to my ongoing rights and privileges. You will get a reply, it will read
"After careful consideration we have decided to reject your appeal"
If it was a Parking Spy ticket for "overstaying" or "not-paying", chances are it was done by a camera so they wouldn't see you lovely note0 -
They have just started enforcing in the carpark at Mostyn Champneys in Llandudno, it's free with a 3 hour limit. There is a Bowling Alley on the site along with a MaccyD so potential for PE to send a few invoices.0
