I did another quick glance before I went to bed and found the 'main menu' file. I think was just very tired by the time Malwarebytes had gone through the scan. (I was losing the will to live!!!)lol. I'll correct the issues brought up by the cleanser and then do the hi-jack. (or is this overkill?).

Gone into the main menu of HIJACK THIS and because of the type of file and being on vista it diverted me to another administrator which was MALWAREBYTES. I did that scan last night so will post the log which found no viruses, or do I need to do another scan after correcting the issues with CCleaner?

Famous last words!! For some reason I can't COPY the log. I'm getting good at this so know I've done it right!! (getting big-headed as well). There were no viruses found in the log, perhaps that's why I can't copy it.

I can't get a hijack log. The message that appears reads:- 'For some reason your system denied write accessto the Hosts file. Hijack This may NOT be able to fix this. If this happens, you need to edit the file yourself. To do this, click START, Run & Type - notepad (web address), and press ENTER. Find the line(s) Hijack This reports and delete them. Save the file as 'hosts' and reboot. For Vista simply exit Hijack This, right click on the Hijack This icon, choose 'Run as Administrator'. I've done the last part as my system Vista, but there is no sign of the words 'Runs as Administrator'. The only thing I recognised is the MALWARE ANTI-MALWARE. That is the log I posted. I'll give it another go and see what happens.

Given it another go. Same result. I did get a notepad page (untitled), but it was blank.
