I'm great with c0ck, but I don't have one :rotfl:
I really am not bothered whether you are male or female.
Back to the topic:
Rene - I think I would probably hope for a bit more of a reaction than you got but so long as you are happy with your dress, that is what matters. Maybe its just because they were so excited about seeing their own dresses. Afterall, we all like to look our best and you will look beautiful whatever I am sure. If you are really concerned about your dress now, have a word with them and see what they say retrospectively.0 -

Rene - my maid of homour is a nightmare, she thinks its all about her, i get more sense and enthusiasm out of my 2 year old daughter. She is obsessed with flowers, dresses and cakes.
(Oh no - i had a child out of wedlock well 3 actually, lock me up and throw away the key):TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

if i was having a registary office wedding i wouldnt even bother with a dress, bridesmaids and everything elsa to be honest
i only count on getting married once so ill have the big dress that IM paying for :T
That's incredibly rude to both those of us who are having a register office wedding, and those of us who are getting married for the second time. All of us counted on getting married just the once, I'd guess, so don't count your chickens.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -

Cute in a 2 year old, creepy in a grown woman
I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair0 -
I don't think the bridesmaids are jealous, probably excited about trying on their dresses though! It all depends sooooo much on how you interpret their reactions, maybe you built the dress up so much in your mind that people's reactions aren't going to live up to expectations? I'm not saying you're expecting everyone to fall over themselves talking about how amazing it is but you know how it is, the brides often get a lot more excited about weddings than everyone around them does; I spoke to a mate today about a few things I was really excited about and her reaction was, "really? why do you want that?", I didn't take offence to it though!0

Rather shallow, don't you think?
What are you reading to reply like that?
For a woman who is buying a proper wedding dress for her wedding, that dress is going to be the most important dress she buys isn't it???
It's not shallow at all, for a bride to want a big wedding dress and expect some enthusiasm from her bridesmaids when they see her in it for the first time.
If I tried my dress on and showed my Mum, Aunty and daughter etc, and they just said "yeah it's OK", I'd feel like !!!!!! and not want to wear it.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
nickyhutch I got married the first time round in a registry office and I wasn't offended. It didn't work out. Sh*t happens to the best of us. But you are right, we mostly only plan to get married once, unless you are a very silly 21yo who wasn't really thinking.
As an aside, I also have a child out of wedlock, and sometimes I leave the house without a chaperone  in fact once, I opened the door to the postman in my pjs :rotfl:I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off
