    # 8 for me yesterday but not without hardship - had to steal OH's mother's day card that he'd bought and not posted to give to my mum as we were going over for dinner - how low can you stoop?! :o

Saorsie - that's a classic. I would normally have bought my mum a card but this year I got all NSD OCD and gave her one that I already had. It's the thought that counts!

I bought my mum a book with a book token someone had given me as a pressie. I didn't think of the ethics. I just thought about the savings. Can't help myself

Love books but if I'm buying for myself then it has to be a desperate-need-it-can't-live-without-it purchase and even then second hand.

Think today is NSD 5 - I had 28p library fee to pay never missed until they put a new serve yourself desk in GRRR but used the emergency change that lives in my purse so not counting that - need all the help I can get this month :-)
