Yes it is, because your 'point' was pointless and unhelpful.

Only another £140 k to go before you can enjoy your life. And if you die before then....well at least you tried.

Seems everyones life revolves around their mortgage.

hey doire, got a slight issue with people wanting to stop paying so much interest on their house loans have you? would love to hear your story. some people want to pay off their debts, some want to pay off their mortgage - wheres the harm in that if its done in a controlled manner? as little bit rightly said, my money, my choice.
    Start Date 28/04/2007

    Original LTV = 61.86% Current LTV = 33.22%
Original Pay Off Date = Apr 32 New Pay Off date = July 2024
    Total OP = £15980 since Feb 2012
  • Hi LB,

Quick question..how are you overpaying the little amounts? Have you got one of those 'one account' mortgage things? or do you set up an internet banking payment for each OP?

It's a great idea, we're in the same sort of situation except it'll be another 3 years before we can afford to go back to a repayment mortgage because after my maternity leave I started my Dip in Nursing so we're surviving on hubby's wages and my bursary .
    Good luck with it all!

I make an internet banking payment each time. My statement looks a bit funny when you see all these tiny little amounts being paid, but hey who cares - apart from Doire :rotfl:
