Got up feeling rough still with this cold.. To find what I thought was my order from staples along with my free cd player. The ruler is there along with a welcome pack but not a cd player in site.

Sorry you're having such a rubbish time :(

My ex had the same problem with the free cd player, so he rang Staples and they sent it out separately, it arrived today. So you should call them if you haven't already

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

************* Im Back and more determined to shift this debt *********

Hello again, I havn't been on much over the last few months due to various reasons but I miss the site and have not really got very far on reducing my debts. So ive come back to the best place possible to help me become DEBT FREE.

If you cant remember me or have never read this diary before heres a little bit about me.. Im 20 and still working as a 3rd chef (Chef de parties) in a newly refurbished bistro style restaurant. Earning around £300 p/w before tax & NI. I live at home with my mum still. I love going to raves, playing sports and computer games. I also have a gf who ive been with for around a year an half now, she has very expensive tastes lol.. anyway to the more inportant stuff.
I'll re-write all my debts down again, as they have changed and ill also write down my SOA. Hopefully ill gain more inspiration and tips from people on here to make it easier..

    Debts:

    Dad: Was £2,500 Now £2,000
    Nan: Was £530 Now £142
    Overdraft: Was £1,500 Now £1,500
Barclays CC: Was £900 Now £49.11

    SOA - Monthly -

Monthly income after tax roughly £800

Rent to my mum: £120 p/m
Loan from my dad: £120 p/m
    Nan: £80 p/m
Sky+: £22.50p/m (50% for 3 months, thanks to MSE tips)
Pay as you go mobile: £20-£30 p/m
    Interest on overdraft: £15-£20 p/m

    Thanks in advance..

P.s I will try my best to write down everything I spend on a day to day basis, so I can actually see where im wasting my money. Thanks again

welcome back mate :D I did see you on OS the other day and gave you a lil wave :D

are you saving those £2 coins for valentines day? I know how you like to treat that lady of yours ;)

Hats off to you though, that barclays CC should be gone pretty soon
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Nope i stopped collecting £2 coins a while ago now. Have got lots of coppers and 5ps though ;)

Yeah ive spent lots on my gf in the last year or so, but not so much anymore. It seems to be the other way round now.. lol. She's just bought me an Xbox 360 :)

As for Valentines day, Ive told work I can work this year as it cost me too much last year lol. Will be cooking something for her instead this year too.

Hoping to be completely debt free by December, just my dad's money which im worried about. Anyway thanks lynz x

    Hi there, I remember you!

Welcome back and good luck with shifting the debts by December.

I noticed in one of your last posts before you went off for a while that you had to do a shift finishing at 11pm but then you had to start again at 7.30am the next day....do you still have to do this? Isn't there a law saying you have to have 11 hours between shifts so you get adequate rest?

I was just curious...and slightly concerned for you, tis all

    Hope you are OK anyhoo!

Yeah I still do this, lol. I suppose its the trade an all. It is against the law unless I agree to it by signing this paticular section on my contract, also like working over 48 hours. I also have to sign to say I can do over 48 hours.

Thanks for your conern anyway LA, Glad to see someones looking out for me :rotfl: :rotfl:
