I have so much more motivation since I posted the other day.
The new evening bedtime routine is as follows:
Mum or Dad bath DD at 7.30
Out by 7.45 and into PJ's
Read book until 8.00
Lights off by 8.05
Whoever is not doing the bathing they take DS to our field and lock up the chickens/geese/turkeys/ducks!!
All back to relax at 8.05!!
Last night it went wrong because my brother came round at 8.10 with his daughter so DD got up for a play. She did not go to bed until 9.00!
This morning DD was a real terror!!!
Back to the new routine again tonight so hopefully tomorrow she will be in a better mood!!

Hi Everyone
Can I join please?
I have DD (20 months), OH and a cat. Doesnt sound like much but Im just not organised at all!!
I work 9 - 4.30 (30hrs) Tues - Fri, dont drive so DD has to be at childminders 8.30 til 5, I feel so bad about this, thinking that she is in childcare for too long, doesnt help that a good friend can afford to practically be a SAHM and "couldnt possibly" send her DD to nursery or childminder.
Im also a worrier, I tend worry about everything, money, bills, jobs piling up, getting something healthy and nutritious down DD rather than just bunging stuff in the oven.
Need to get organised then will hopefully stop stressing!!0 -
Hi everyone. Can I join in please?
I saw the SAHM thread, but didn't join that one, as wasn't sure if I fitted into that category.
My DH works full time and I work Part time (2 days per week).
I have 2 DD's aged 6 & 8. On my days off I tend to be running errands for DH, cleaning, ironing and whatever else needs doing. Although, given the chance I would probably be sat on the laptop all day! :eek:Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.670 -
Oh My Goodness!!
I have surprised myself!!
In an effort to get more organised and so my DD does not miss any parties(again) I have confirmed a party invitation within 48 hours of receiving it!!!!!
DD gave me the invitation on Friday night, I agreed she could go and said I would ring. Sunday afternoon came and I felt all motivated so I rung to confirm attendance!!
Now we'll see if I can keep this up for the nex invitation. :rotfl:

Gawd, someone could have warned me how tiring this getting/being organised lark is!!
Today is my day off so have looked after DD, done god knows how many loads of washing, tidied the house, done 3 lots of washing up, attempted to get DD to eat 3 meals, hoovered up after each of these 3 meals, bused it into town, bused it back again, got her bathed and in bed at a reasonable hour, cooked for DP and myself, done the ironing, made tomorrows packed lunches (including drinks made up and chilling in the fridge ready to just chuck in bags), got DD's bag ready for the childminders, prepared tomorrow nights dinner so slow cooker can just be switched on in the morning. Phew, Im pooped, shall be glad to get to work for a rest.
Did go to get cereals ready for breakfast then realised we had run out so DD will have to have toast......oh well, Ive only just started to be organised so cant remember everything I guess.
Must remember to get mince out in the morning.....and switch the slow cooker on otherwise there'll be no dinner lol.
Feeling really guilty about how much I have to work. I have Monday's off but have to work 9 til 4.30 the rest of the week, I just feel like Im not spending enough time with DD while she is still so younghope she isnt affected by it.
Anyhoo, best get off to bed! xx0
