We are planning on inviting 50-60 during the day and about 100 in total in the evening. Do understand what you say about the weather though! x0

Our numbers a bit bigger, was it Sunny who showed you round? He was very nice and helpful with us. Only downside I found with them is the cost of a hog roast is almost double that of everywhere else. I loved the chaise lounge in the reception!
When are you getting married? x:heart2: Got Married on 30/4/11 :heart2:

Getting married end of Aug next year. Yes loved the chaise longue too - would look great in my house. Sunny showed us round 1st time then 2nd time it was a lady who is married to the chef, both were really nice and helpful x0

I've only just found this site/forum/thread and I'm very glad I did!
Am planning to get married next May near Banbury but having a real struggle to find affordable caterers (we'd love a hog roast and buffet). Also not sure if it's going to be most cost effective to have it in a garden with marquee and find everything separately, or if it will be easiest to just find a venue and get a package for x per head including everything.
Anyone got any recommendations?! I'm hoping to be able to start booking things within a month!0 -
Antians,
I can fully recommend Cherwell Edge Golf Club if you are after a reasonable price!!! They quote me just over £4k for the venue, 70 people during the day, hog roast for 150 people in the evening
However style and location got the better of me, and we are getting married at Rye Hill Golf Club near Milcombe (Banbury)0 -
Mrs Moore to be, just noticed you are in Didcot, have you booked florist and hair/make up yet?0

Mrs Moore-to-be - I'm also local to you and wondered if you've got any recommendations about someone to do my hair/makeup.
Thank you!0
