I had a similar issue with a company recently, but for a small amount.
I figured that rather than keep writing long letters,i should keep my letter very short in order to get an answer as they didnt seem to be reading the emails.I either made one statement or asked one question (just as though you were dealing with very small children!)

I had tooing and froing of me saying, " i haven't received my refund" followed by them saying "it went stright into your account" followed by "you couldn't have cancelled because you received your order" followed by me saying,"no i received something totally different that I hadn't ordered anyway",eventually these one liners paid off but I was getting peed orf!

what we did receives was poorly made and was not really the size it was labeled
no replies to 2 emails and cannot get through on phone. now when i go to account it is to late to return any items as 7 days has passed.

I hope I'm not spamming this post but I thought it was only fair to give an update now; I got my refund today! It's a shame it took three months, over 20 emails, and eventually making this post to get there, but at least it's back now!
  • ITS BEEN THREE WEEKS SINCE BOOHOO.COM RECIEVED MY ITEM BACK AND I STILL HAVENT RECIEVED A REFUND... I HAVE SENT 6 EMAILS TO THEM, I HAVE HAD A REPLY THE FIRST TIME JUST HIGHLIGHTING THERE RETURNS POLICY AND LENGTH I CAN EXPECT TO WAIT BUT NOTHING SINCE THEN.... THEY SAY THEY HAVE TO 'CHECK THE GOODS' IT IS ONE DRESS!!! SENT BACK THE SAME DAY IT ARRIVED!!! SUCH BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NO TELEPHONE ASSISTANCE... YOU'D THINK ALL THE PEOPLE NOT ANSWERING PHONES COULD ANSWER EMAILS!

IT WAS ONLY £20 BUT I AM CURRENTLY UNEMPLOYED SO £20 MAKES A LOT OF DIFFERENCE TO MY BANK ACCOUNT AT THE MOMENT! I FEEL LIKE THEY'VE CHEATED ME OUT OF MONEY... I HAVE QUOTED DISTANCE SELLING REGULATIONS IN MY EMAILS... BUT AS I GET NO RESPONSE AND CANNOT ACTUALLY SPEAK TO ANYONE I DONT NO WHAT TO DO!!!!

They have 30 days to refund you, did they highlight that? as its only been 21 then give them the rest of the time before you get overly worried.
There is no point at shouting at us, it's not our fault.

    Hi hally :)

I know that it seems as though posting in capitals will make things easy to read - but in fact the opposite is true. Capitals are usually only used for emphasis and are read as "shouting".

So you can just type normally and we'll all keep up with you, honest :)

Me to in the poo with boo***! Returned goods in March, 3 days after arrival and got proof of postage. Chased for a refund and was told to wait 21 days and they were going to apply a £2 re stocking charge. Totally ignored any questions. I cited distant selling regs and talked to Consumer direct. No assistance from them. So approached M&S credit card, but they hold little hope of recovery of funds. But at least they may contact boohoo? Royal Mail will contact boohoo on our behalf to find out if goods have arrived. Getting no where. Google search shows this company have issues and pray on teenage kids like my daughter. Please avoid.

As a matter of principle anybody interested in a joint small claims attempt? There are clearly many issues about organising this but as a company boohoo.com are evil and rely on the fact that most refunds are to small for consumers to fight over.
