Although I was pretty much expecting to be denied the refund, having read some of the other posts on here, it still wound me up gettting THAT letter, when there is absolutely nothing wrong with my claim.
I appreciate that many people might have been counting on getting their money back but if you've had the letter, then this is probably unlikely. So, I thought why not write to them asking that they make the cheque out to Great Ormond St Hospital as they would look really bad if they still refused... and if it works, then we can add up how much MSer's made for this worthy cause. (No particular reason whatsover for me choosing GOSH, just one of many worthy causes).
My letter basically says that I wasn't surprised to get the letter as I'd read all about it on here but I'm shocked that a company of their stature would behave in such a way and questioned their overall integrity. (I know, I know, but I am sooo annoyed!). Finished with saying that they probably had far more to lose than myself or even the charity, if they didn't cough up and that I would persue the matter very publicly until resolved. It just wreaks of the Hoover scandal and if they can't afford all these refunds then they shouldn't have made all those promotional packs.
Hope you've all still got the bits they sent back!0 -
Re: WD-40 pen, has anyone found it anywhere else apart from Wilkinsons? I don't have Wilkos anywhere near me, and have tried Homebase and B&Q but no luck...0

I've been looking for it for a long time too. I have been searching everywhere for it. I haven't found it any place else. Finally got to a Wilkos and they have it on display. I wonder if this offer is only for them. It's strange though. You would think they would be in Homebase and B&Q as well.0 -
Today I got a cheque for Comfort for the cardboard jeans. I sent that off last week too. So that was fast. I found that in Waitrose and it was on offer I think.0

John Frieda Luminous Colour Glaze 'shine booster' for hair - special packs available in-store from 21/2/07 to 11/5/07 inclusive will carry a "new and improved salon formula - 100% satisfaction guaranteed, or receive a full refund" promotion.
This is advertised in the latest Sainsbury's magazine... so Sainsbury's will probably be a good place to look!
I found promotional stock for this one in Superdrug today - normal price of product is £6.99, but on offer there at £5.49.
Round black and yellow sticker on pack. Promo sticker, receipt and usual 15+ statement needed. Max refund £6.99. Closes 30.05.07 (but receipt must be dated on or before 11.05.07).0 -
what are you all saying about comfort in LESS than 15 words?Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.0

It's true though, it's not the fabric softener that makes your jeans soft, it's the way you dry them.0 -
providence wrote:has anyone seen any money back bye bye cardboard jeans bottles in the last two days?
I saw some last week but every bottle i come across now is missing the money back sticker
Quite a few available in Wilkos. They also have an offer of buy one bottle for around £1.60ish and get 2 bottles for £2.
It would be worth buying two - you could claim your money back for one of the bottles and get the second for just 40p.0
