Today I have had a NSD so far

Wrapped up in a blanket instead of heating on
Joined PAD'ers and put 70p spare change in pot

Nice and lazy today - I used to post on here a year or so ago and then it dropped off my list somehow as I left behind the DFW board, but now I'm back on the board

No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

  • hi
first time post for me on this board.. have been trying really hard on the ten pound a day board but get so fed up sometimes casue i feel like i'm working constantly to reduce debt but never get anywhere...
so will list the small things in the hope it will lift my spirits a bit!
Took doglets for walks this morning and have showered them both - didn;t have any proper dog shampoo so used some mild apple shampoo that was super cheap from tescos am keeeping an eye on them to check it doesnt irritate their skin - i'm guessing that if rolling in dead rat and fox poo doesn't bother their skin a bit of apple shampoo should be ok - if so i'll be saving myself a fortune in dog shampoo in the future - fingers crossed! Have watvched OH do 3 lots of washing today - i have a really sore throat and am feeling exhausted after long walk this morning and not sleeping too well last night.
We had hot dogs for lunch whch were yummy and very cheap!!
PLan to go shopping late tonight and hopefully pick up some bargains, am going to use all my tesco vouchers on their super cheap washing poweder - think its 1.80 for a box and washes really well ( its biological) also going to fill the car up while we are there and get some more points. Ive cut out all the vouchers for extra points from the last booklet they sent so going to use them all today and build up some points.
As soon as i've finished this post i'm going to do a meal plan for the week to keep my shopping bill to a minumum and going to make a big batch of chilli tomorro or later tonight so enough for chilli once a week for 4 weeks.
might think of some more things in a bit... apparently if i do 15 mins of house work a day my stress levels will be siginificantly reduced - according to the radio yesterday... is such info tempting me to do house work - I think not!!! Might try a bit tomorro if feeling better!!!

    Hi all
Bit late today, I did check in this morning but didn't post cos I hadn't planned my day yet, today I have/will
    - dinner in slow cooker - cottage pie from meal plan, yum
    - Hokey cokey
    - Ironing - boo
    - Tea and cake with friend in cathederal, didn't need that for £5 but REALLY wanted it ;)
    - Had lunch at friends house
    - Bought 2 cards and wrapping paper in barnardo's totalling £2.07, one was mother's day card
    - Clean and tidy before OH gets home cos I've been out all day!
    - Meal plan for next week

So much more but I'm not going to write it all down because I won;t get it done and I'll just feel bad. When I went to my friend's for lunch today I noticed how much she was struggling with her housework and jobs (without being mean, her house was messy and it's NEVER messy) since second baby was born, so I offered to have her DD tomorrow (2 yrs old) so she just has DS (3 months old!) to deal with. I did offer to have both of them but I think she's still a bit nervous about letting him go :)
Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!

got a nasty letter from a debt collection agency today for barclaycard. it's first I've heard from them and they're saying they'll be coming round to collect the money (yeah right!). It's only for £300 though so I've sent a full and final settlement for £180 to them which all my babysitting should cover so fingers crossed they accept it!

    Hi everyone

Hoping for a productive weekend! (I fuming about my cc application but I'll relax after this cuppa, stick to the thread topic :p and concentrate on the small things!)

My small things this weekend are/will be:
    - Staying in today - housework by day and good HM food with the tele by night (Might pop out to get some vino...still have £2.50 in my purse and some coins in the jar!)
    - Decided to use the restaurant vouchers for Sunday lunch. Plus, can have a soft drink and won't be tempted by 'spensive restaurant wine that's not worth it (I heard there's usually a 3 to 4x mark up in restaurants btw!)
    - Sold old mobile so need to pack that up ready for posting on Monday
    - Catch up with some TV on iplayer (not much of an easties fan though :D)
    - Might do some baking
    - Need to do a March budget and sort out what I'm paying to where in prep for payday next week. :A
    - Chased old electricity co to see where my cheque for £100+ credit is since closing my a/c with them - takes 28 days!!

    Take care everyone.

    xx
