Best Wet Food For Cats

Hi

I've got 3 cats, all roughly aged between 5-7 years. I give them a sachet each at night, then during the day, they get a bowl of Purina One Chicken and Rice biscuits, which they love. But i'm wanting to switch from Felix wet food, to a more nutrious and healthy wet food, but it needs to be one I can get from Tesco etc, as the nearing pet food chain is miles away, and i don't drive. Can anyone recommend a brand, that is full of meat and nutrious? I've been looking at hilife.
Thanks!

Hilife is a good food, as is felane fayre and sainsburys encore which is just applaws under a different name. I don't drive and p@h is a good while away so I order on line and check the local home bargains/b and m as they often have hilife in. I also order applaws on line.

    Thanks Rev!

Will have a look into those. Maybe just try a pack of each and see what they like. Hard to get a flavour that all 3 like haha.

Tesco Luxury is 50% meat, HiLife is 60% I think, Feline Fayre from Asda is 60 or 70% fish. Other options include Pets at Home Purely which is 50% meat, Bozita 90% meat but you'd have to order both online.

Think for now i'm going to go for the hilife. Sainsburys has a special on it at the moment, a box for only £4.05, which i think is pretty good!

  • I have to recommend Bozita. I use about one and a half tins a day between my 4 so it does actually work out as very good value.

Out of all good wet foods I have given mine I have to recommend Bozita too - shame it can only be sourced from Zooplus - who only accept credit card payment & charge a fair bit for postage (I get my litter from local shops & find dried food generally cheapest from pets supermarket). I recommend Asda feline fayre pouches - still doing four for £1.

in my local store at least, not all the feline fayre is complete. Some seem to be complimentary, and some arent, so make sure you check the labels.

Bozita is probably the best as it's 93% meat but you have to buy it online. From zooplus I think.

I feed Hi Life and Feline Fayre :) FF is 70% meat (if I remember correctly) and Hi Life is over 50% :)

If you have a Home Bargains near you or even a B&M they have 4 of the large cans (tuna) for £1. Hi Life pate tins are 25p each in Home Bargains :)

Sheba isn't any better than felix - just costs more! Both are v expensive for what they contain. In fact most supermarket wet food is not worth bothering with.
If you run a search on good wet & dry food on here you will come up with a list of quality foods - MS way is 2 buy in bulk online to keep costs down = cheaper than feeding from supermarket or vets.
