Back from Room on the Broom......DS managed a bit better and sat for a fair while but didnt really seem to know what was going on even though he loves the book:( He was very flappy when we got out so he must have found it a bit much I think.
He has just had a huge meltdown at me but has now settled.
girliegirl welcome to the thread:D. My DS is autistic so I know what you mean about hols. They do not work for us either:o. We now go to the same cottage on a farm each year where DS helps with the animals etc. As it is in a house it feels like home to him and we have a Sainsbugs delivery and cook our usual food. Does not seem like a hol to me but it is the only way.....even then he still has his "flappy" moments. anything else we have tried didnt work and we had to come home after a couple of days. We only go away a few days at a time too as longer than that is too long for him.0 -

Afternoon!
Thanks for the good wishes everyone :A
I tried to go and have a sleep after lunch but after tossing & turning for half an our I gave it up as a bad job and came downstairs. DH is going to steward a football match at 5.45pm but he's making himself & DS3 some tea before he goes. DS2 is out for the day (having his ear pierced :eek::eek::eek::eek:) and DD & DS1 are coming in later but will help themselves :T
I'm going to go for a nice bath soon to ease the aching muscles and get my jammies on I think. It looks a reasonable night on the tv so I will curl up with DS3 & the dogs.
I hope that everyone has a pleasant evening ahead.
NPM Hope that DS settles soon for you and that any tactics you use to get him to eat more work. I can't suggest anything really apart from subtefuge - it's what I always did with mine - DS2 especially would eat anything if he thought that Nana had made it at timesSorry to read about your ex too

Hello everyone :hello:
The house is still coming along. We were hoping to be moving in this weekend, but sadly it's not to be. It'll be at least another week with the in-laws.It'll be great once we're in though.
I've discovered a lovely butcher's shop in the centre of our new town, which I think might be used frequently by me! There's also one that is attached to a farm shop, which I still need to investigate.
Today I've been investigating the local charity shops and managed to come away with a couple of books and some lovely cards. Colleagues within my school always seem to send each other birthday cards, so I tend to get packs of cards and give them out when necessary! They had some lovely ones in the Cancer Research shop.
Right, I'd better go as I've got to look lively before the MIL returns from her jaunt out!Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -

Sandy - hope your pusscat is ok.
Went to doctors, got prescribed some heavy duty pain killers. Doctor was much more thorough than last one. Just hope these do the trick.0 -
Bargainbird - so sorry to hear that the justice service has let you down but at least the trial is over.
Sandy - hope your cat is ok
I have had a busier day today. I went shopping for school trousers for DS2 who has had a growth spurt of major proportions:eek: he has to stop growing soon? I only bought some in September and they were large on him then. Couldnt get any anywhere but ended up in John L where I got excellent service. Cant say the same for Marky Sparky! I also got some bits for DS1 as its his birthday tomorrow. It was really cold out but snow has gone now which is a big relief. No OS news really. Need to save some pennies for holidays.
Hugs xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0
