Back from the Drs. Oh has been referred on for his various ailments and also for his foot supports. Scripts for both of us into the chemist, will collect them tomorrow.
Still nothing from DS2, not sure where he is, whether he got out to do his deliveries last night or if he is asleep or still on the road, have left messages both text and phone. guess he will surface eventually.
Could not sleep last night, it was well after 2am before I put the light out, OH was snoring for England
I need to get lamb bones out of the freezer and put some soup mix to soak to make a pot of scotch broth for lunch tomorrow; I need to make some scones as well just in case DS2 does turn up sometime today.
Its was -6 overnight, when we went out it was -2, the sun is shining but bbbbbbrrrrrrr its cold.
Ofsky for a coffee and get the ironing done......Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Welcome girliegirl - its lovely here.
Have you heard of The Family Fund as they help with things for special needs children. I did quite well last year with them as 1st time asking for things, got over £500 in holiday vouchers, enough for a trampoline and safety net approx £250 value and enough to get a bike rack. There was some left over so put that towards the Wii for DS2 christmas present. Apparently this is a government funded charity, that helps families on incomes less than £23,000.0 -
Good morning all :hello:
I've been MIA for the past few days as we had an impromptu trip down south, was really lovely day spending some time just the four of usHaven't had time to go through the threads from the past few days but will do so later, big (((hugs))) to everybody though
DS still hasn't got rid of his bug and, shall we say, let the worst of it out in the middle of Windsor Castle. Cue having to do a full clothes change and a clean of the pramother than that and having to travel back through freak weather conditions last night it was a good trip.
So today I'm going to be mega busy: lost of washing to do from all the outfit changes he had, plus the rest of our clothes, and am going to see if I can strip down the pram and throw that in the wash as well. Also need to meal plan for the next 4 weeks, and will order my fornightly online shop to arrive somtime over the weekend.
Hope you all have a fab day, OS or otherwise

We did apply but our income far exceeds that as we both work, It's not so much paying for the holiday it's finding someone to help with the children as the eldest is autistic so finds the change of a holiday too taxing and the youngest needs 2 of us to manage him when we are out of the house.0 -
Good morning all.
Bitsy Well said! I, too, thanked the post without realising it :mad: People should just leave our Diva alone please!!!!!!!
Sunnyday If you're anything like me the paint brushes will turn up in the most random place ever :rotfl: Hope they turn up for you soon.
Taplady Big hugs to you. I thought that I was over the worst of this bug and yet was up from midnight until 6am being sick. Feeling very fragile now with a rotten headache to boot.
Well some good news DH has been asked for an interview for a job with a catering company delivering stuff in a 7.5t van. He's driven these for years so I'm ever hopeful that he'll be successful :T He should be back soon hopefully.
I have watched DS3 make some marshmallow crispies (didn't want to get too near to food in this state) and he did well & only needed help from DD at the end when the mixture got very sticky. That'll be a nice treat for later for him & the others.
They are making themselves boiled eggs & soldiers for lunch followed by some fruit salad that was made yesterday and a yoghurt. Tea was supposed to be a chicken curry but I don't think it will be nowI shall leave Dh to it!
Have a good day all & hugs where needed xxxxx0 -
Good afternoon
We also woke up to snow this morning, but it has all thawed now. Have spent an hour grooming the dogs, 2 dont mind being brushed but the youngest doggie thinks its all a game and keeps running away and coming back, speading fur everywhere. Put some of the fur out incase any nest building birds fancy a duvet in their nest. :rotfl: Then spent ages hoovering the mess up, but they look better for it. Its definately a outside job!
Dinner tonight is some YS cod. Think I'll probably do new potatoes and veg with it. When I see the snow this morning I really fancied a stew and dumplings, but the diet won.
Have a good Friday everyone0 -

Just heard from DS2, he did a delivery last night, got back at 5am, slept at a friends house, he has just got up. I was getting a bit worried wondering what had happened. He is going to try and see if he can get down the drive to his flat, its down 2 hills and he has to get up again with a loaded car. Corby had about 6 - 8 inches of snow yesterday, it was over the top of his workboots......we saw some pictures on the news last night, I listened to the forecast this morning and it was for snow showers again, so fingers crossed he can manage out tomorrow......I cannot really settle until I have the place straight........
HM fish and chips tonight, belgian chocolate mousse for afters, yummy......Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0
