    Morning all

Love and hugs to those who are sad or poorly.

Raining onto the 2 inches of sudden snowfall we had last night, don't know where that came from as only sleet was forecast, but settled even though the ground was very wet.

Will be cracking on with a list of jobs and shopping. WM is already on with our bedding in it, will dry it and re-make later, boys beds were done yesterday. Will be shopping and bank shortly then baking for weekend and pack-ups for next week later. Would also like to clean through the house, nowhere's too bad as have been really keeping on top of it all, so shouldn't take too long. Must get packed for going away in the morning to, but as only 1 night not too much needed.

Need to crack on now, have a good weekend everyone.

Keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

    Morning peeps

lovely and sunny this morning for a change, quite cold out tho and plenty of ice underfoot so i`ll need to be careful when i go out with the houndies shortly.

I`ve just emptied the kitchen ready to start painting when i get back. I need to wait in for a parcel today so i intend to make the most of the time spent waiting.

Diva - Do you have a link to the cherry tree so that i can have a nosy? What size container do you have it in? I`d love some small fruit bearing trees but the garden really isn`t big enough.

I thanked the poster above *rolls eyes* as i too took her at face value, i generally thank as i read the thread for two reasons, one i like to thank everyone for their contributin no matter how small and two i can easily find where i`ve read up to :D as i read in stages through the day whenever i`ve a few mins spare. When i`m at w*rk the thanks button dosen`t always work so i sometimes have to repeat them though

Redruby - The conservatory looks fantastic, i`m soooooo envious. I`d love one. Well worth all your hard work!

Taplady - Hope that DH gets everything sorted out soon. I had gout years ago when i had a veggie spell and ended up eating too much protein as i ate lots of beans and high protein stuff. It was the most painful thing i`ve experienced next to toothache and what made it worse was that everything looked fine IYKWIM, i nearly keeled over when the blood tests confirmed it as i thought the doctor was having me on :rotfl:

Right off out into the cold as the houndies are [STRIKE]driving me mad[/STRIKE] raring to go :D

    Have a good day peeps.

I have not tried telling him the food has come from his dads......I think he would know...has very sensitive tastebuds...this is a boy who can tell which shop custard creams come from just by the taste:cool:
Feeling like I am coming down with a cold today so will have to OD on oranges.
OH has woken with a migraine so not at work:o that means no money today but am trying not to nag:whistle:

    Hola!

Morning all you insomniacs insomnia.gif, my excuse is that I am an hour head of you, I was driving last night so was on diet coke!

    Diva - ignore the signcensor.gif

Sat here listening to the rain! bgrin.gif Our friends from home invited us to go out with them for the day on Wednesday, and we decide to follow a tour of the high ground behind Alicante/Benidorm I have in a book of car trips of the area. Had a great day,and the weather was kind, first of all went to the Font d'Algar, and the onto Guadalest we then continued along the Guadalest valley to Alcoy, with magnificent scenary. We were able to have coffee outside at the first stop, and even lunch outside with our coats off at the second. Our friends 34 yo son was taken back into hospital yesterday with an infection after a major operation, please prayers and positive vibes in his direction. They were unable to get a plane home yesterday, and are booked on one today anyway.

The wii fit told me I had lost 2lb this morning, jumping0044.gifso that is a bonus, I had managed not to gain at all from leaving home, but it is only a start and definitely nowhere near enough.

I think today will be an ironing day, as managed to get a load of washing out and dried yesterday, so will not wait to create a mountain.

I think i fancy making a Tuna Pasta Bake for this evening, and may even pop a Carrot Cake (which some kind person from here sent me the link to) in, if I get out for the raisinsheadscratcher.gif .

Cranky (and of course the house elf and not forgetting the cat.gif) thinking of you with all the mess, debris, and dust. Hope it is soon fnished for you.

Smoky - hope you are coping with half term!

HSdoghugs_24270.gif to those who would like one.

Taplady sorry to see you have picked up the bug from work!!

smiliewave.gifCan all the old OSers please get their bums in gear and get back on here, the thread is not the same without you all.

Better go and grab a coffee.gif

    Take care - DG

    ............

Dh did the same a couple of weeks ago trying to get the car up the road in the snow. there was smoke and a terrible smell from the clutch and it was slipping when he was driving . he rang the garage and they said it was unlikely it was damaged but just dried out and should settle. - it did so hopefully Ds's will be ok x

Morning all, Lovely and sunny here but reall cold.

Bitsy I didn't realise there was history either but as the victim of a particularly nasty troll I just want to say:T. Is it to early for:beer:
Taplady hope you are feeling better soon.

Diva the fruit pies sound good. This board has really inspired me to cook more from scratch instead of being lazy and buying ready made:o

Right better get my backside into gear. Got friends arriving from 10am onwards and I have to clean round, do my flying, walk the dog, rediscover the kitchen after DH cooked last night and put my ebay stuff away. Better get dressed first though:o

    Have a lovely day everyone.

It's a beautiful sunny morning here :D The tide is in and the view from my bed is lovely! I'm in the lounge now but the view here is pretty good too!

It's my last weekday off and I woke up at 8am! typical. WM went on and is now out on balcony getting some air, will bring it in to dry properly in a bit. This week has flown by.

I feel ill though :( I've got a cold. I've been fighting it off since the morning of the wedding (weds) but it's properly here now. I've taken some tablets which have taken the edge of it. I can't taste anything so not much point me making anything nice.

I'm going out tonight for a colleague's leaving do. We having drinks and a curry so hopefully the curry will blow the cold away! I don't really want to do anything too strenuous today as I have no energy so think I'll just unpack the suitcase, sort out ordering the photos from both my hols to NZ and the wedding, plus I need to collect a parcel from the Post Office so may pop out for it.

I'm havig scambled egg on toast from breakfast, and probably a jacket spud for lunch.

    Have a good day all

Well i`m totally fed up now  kitchen emptied, ladders up, stuff everywhere in the rest of the house whilst i paint and guess what - can`t find the paintbrushes

I`ve looked everywhere that i can think of as i know that i have a pack of three brand new ones and i can`t find them *stamps foot* i`m waiting in for a delivery so i can`t go out and get one and Dsis is at w*rk so she can`t nip and fetch one either! Pal around the corner isn`t in and the only brush that i can lay may hands on right now is a pastry brush and not a very good one at that.

Might just stay on here or go to sleep until the delivery arrives, bet its tea time before it gets here, boo! what a waste.

Back later hopefully in a better frame of mind!

    morning!

am feeling very fragile this morning as was up all night with a D and V bug_pale_ cant remember the last time I felt so ill. I think it must be the winter vomiting bug as I've found out 4 staff and 1 service user have had it so far! I spent half the night on the sofa - dont want to give it to DH and our bathroom is downstairs and then the rest on DS1s bed(he's moved out)
Am going to try and get some fluids down this morning and hope they stop there!

Bitsy - I also took the post at face value and thanked it - how dare someone pick on our lovely Diva!

DonnyGal - well done on the weightloss!:T dont think you can thrash me at scrabble cos I'm poorly! :D

(((hugs))) to those in need x

OS - today - need to do some washing if have the energy, the ironing can wait till tomorrow. Not going to do much else.
I made a lovely fish pie yesterday but was too poorly to eat it so have frozen the rest.

have a great day all x
