I get so annoyed when people release jobs on the due date! I was gonna apply for a job and do it this morning but it disappeared. It's back on again now with the due date today!
Might give them a ring n see if it still needs doing as I'm in town tomorrow anyway.

Do Retail Maxim offer much work? Not heard a peep from them since I joined up but then we all know its been quiet.

I signed up about four months ago and did my first job yesterday.....hopefully they will have more as it was fairly effortless.

So much for... "RINGIN GAP IS SACKABLE OFFENCE OMGGG!!"

I had a missed call about 6 months ago on my mobile, and instead of a "number witheld" i had a strange number, rung it to be greeted by a surprised Aussie!

Number now stored for future use.

my first ever one took 3 hours :eek::eek: mainly as i had no idea where anything was and the store was so big. see they have slipped in an extra 30 products  o well :(

Thanks for the heads up anyway. Means I'll need to work out how to split everything down to 100 smaller pieces of paper again.

What he's not telling you is he got sacked a few days later :p j/k.

They're based in Australia and prefer to keep contact limited to the internet, but it's not that bad.

I have the 8520 and find it really good, emails reach it before my yahoo account, I had problems reading PDF files at first but thats sorted now, I find it a pain having to input usernames/passwords for shopping sites and there may be a way around this I just haven't looked into it really, camera is excellent, stopwatch and lap timer fabulous (and timings can be sent by email to your self ....

All round great phone....I have never got passionate about a phone before (unlike hubby who gets excited about gadgets and technology :rotfl:) but I :heart2: my blackberry :D

Mine is from vodafone and I get 300 x-network minutes, unlimited texts to any network and unlimited email for £25 per month.

Hubby has one and he loves it - I don't like touch screens i'm too heavy handed. He had to download a stopwatch application for it and he said to google 'mobile 9' and get your applications for it from there. He does all the navigation from his phone when we're out - map is really good.

    Cool :T.

The 8520 sounds pretty good. I was really attracted to it, but after reading a review which said it didn't have 3G i crossed it off my list :(. I'm not very techy-minded, but the review basically said the internet connection is relatively slow on mobiles without 3G. Bum!

Thanks for the info re stopwatch app :). Can't wait to get hold of my new phone and have a play :D.

Does the map application use the internet? I have the maps and GPS but don't want to go over my internet usage.

Which stopwatch app did he download? There are 3 on there but I'm not sure which look the best! :o

  • anyone doing an audit this week the spreadsheet has now been updated :)

Thanks for that, good news is although there are about 30 extra, the main list appears unchanged.

Given the generosity of their fees, and they never seem to have much, I do wonder whether they're struggling. I've seen one of their big clients on RE lately, so I wonder if they've been poached.

Did my first assignment with Retail Maxim yesterday.

This was my first one with them - allocator was really friendly and pleasant, job was straightforward and I didn't have to ask anything stupid and the fee was OK especially as I was going to the shopping centre for another job anyway and the report was very easy to complete and return. Here's to many more

Edited : as I'd quoted a post I didn't intend to - only relevance was that it was about the same company. Apologies.

Yeah, I know what they're like to work for ;) I just reckon, given the minimal effort involved in both their assignments and their reports (relatively speaking anyway) - and the fees that they offer, they're liable to be very easily undercut by competitors and that they might lose clients or already be losing clients.
