does everyone split mileage up for tax puposes?
for example - I drive to town A and do 5 jobs then go home. I have done 30 miles,
I've been putting down 6 miles for each job rather than 15 miles to one, 0 miles to 3 and 15 miles from last one home.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

It varies. I've just got a "mileage" column on my spreadsheet, sometimes I'll enter the amount per job, sometimes per round trip - it all adds up the same at the end !We’ve had to remove your signature. Thanks - I wasn't sure because if I put the round trip then it would look like I was a loss on some jobs and a huge profit on others.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

At the end of the day, it's swings and roundabouts, as the good old HMRC only look at the end figures when you do your self-assessment. Therefore, as long as the mileage is correctly accounted for (i.e. the number of miles) and is for the right distance, then you've got no problem.
With this in mind, I normally put the whole thing down on one of the assessments, and leave the others as 0, as I feel that it is easier to prove that a to b and back is 20 miles, that to try and explain that each of the five assessments is 4 miles each, when they're actually 20 miles away...Andy Corbett0 -

Not sure how this is going to work out for the report but it would have looked very strange if I had said no
Fill in the box to say you got a deal and mention in the comments that the offer was proposed by the member of staff and all will be OK. just remember to only assess the food items that fit the initial brief.
Has anyone else NOT ordered a drink with a delivery? On one of the purchasing suggestions it says it is optional but on the last report I did it did not allow me to answer "no drink purchased"Praying at the church of MSE should be compulsory!

I've never ordered a drink with the delivery and just write that in the comments box. It doesn't as for you to buy one its just pizza and a side... unless its changed of course, I haven't done one this month...!Christmas 2020 £109

I've always had a drink before. The question is "Did the received matchwhat was ordered" (or words to that effect), with the only answers yes or no.Praying at the church of MSE should be compulsory!

Just done one of these today and had the same problem - drink was listed as optional so I didn't buy one... but on the report you have to either assess the drink or say it wasn't available at all. I just ticked one of the boxes and added a note to the comments at the end to say I had to tick the box in order to get the report to submit, but in fact I didn't order a drink.0 -
i have also never ordered a drink. unless the re-imb covered it (which it doesnt) there is no way i would pay their prices for a bottle of coke!
i generally put down one mileage per trip no matter where i go as often i go on a circuit of say a few in norwich, over to lowestoft and yarmouth on the way home. i just record the total amount of miles against whichever one i happen to record first and then the rest as zero. unless i do actually do seperate trips say one in am and one in pm. so i have jobs that are two miles away with 60+ miles against them!
getting lazy now and trying my hardest to stay in norwich as i am getting sick of driving to lowestoft and having to shell out for petrol! dont really have any other reason to be going out of norwich to make it worthwhile! kitchpoo will be pleased:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
