I signed up about four months ago and did my first job yesterday.....hopefully they will have more as it was fairly effortless.

I signed over a 18 months ago and get on average Two or Three jobs a month  if I'm lucky.

Thank God I don't rely on them for lots of work, lol I must admit though, the reports are ace and you can telephone them through:)

    Hi,

I've just been looking at what I earned with TNS 2yrs ago and then last year. My income has drastically reduced since the AM's went:(

I used to get a good amount of work and a fair number of calls each month asking to cover re shops etc.

Has anyone else noticed this....or is this an old or past topic on MSE :o

Well I'm off to do my eye test with student......lovely fee and nothing to pay out :) I love these kinda shops:j

However, that's all I've got on today :( but got a full 8 hour day in tomorrow with 10 shops - no reimbursements :)

    Have a good day everyone.

Did my first assignment with Retail Maxim yesterday.

This was my first one with them - allocator was really friendly and pleasant, job was straightforward and I didn't have to ask anything stupid and the fee was OK especially as I was going to the shopping centre for another job anyway and the report was very easy to complete and return. Here's to many more

Edited : as I'd quoted a post I didn't intend to - only relevance was that it was about the same company. Apologies.
I wouldn't hold your breath about getting "many more". I'm lucky if I get two a year!

My TNS work has drastically reduced, too - but it's mostly because their jobs are just not worth doing now that they don't pay mileage. A lot of their small shops I would happily drive half an hour to get to them as I could do 3 together and get the mileage, it was ok... now no mileage and it seems harder to tie in 2 shops together, never mind 3. Upshot is I hardly ever bother accepting their jobs now.
  • do you have to take a test for the general orientation for gyp or is it just tests for the clients?

I, too, have seen the gradual decline in TNS earnings. I used to do far more work with TNS when they "employed" us MS-ers. The fees, in effect, went down quite a bit when this stopped, because the "holiday pay" element disappeared.

I get far fewer urgent jobs with TNS now there are no AMs. The lack of mileage means the little shops sit on the board for ages; these get offered to me occasionally as urgent work, as do the big shops. It makes me reluctant to schedule in any TNS jobs, though, because the rotation means that if I accept an urgent TNS job I sometimes have to release a scheduled job at the same site. This messes up my schedules, since I tend to use TNS jobs as "fillers".
