We could do with MSing holidays in March when we can afford to do them i.e. theres no jobs to be had so wouldn't be losing out on any! :rotfl:
I know! My son is just doing GCSE's and then hes at 6th form so next year old enough to leave at home for a few days so i think in march i will book partner and i a short break as its cheaper out of the school holiday dates. what's annoying is he has holiday to use by march but we carried it over to have an extended family holiday at home for easter (can't go away as can't afford the school holiday prices). when i have had no work at all i could have done with some company even if we just had a holiday at home and go for days out. this week I have got my surveys in for edigital and that is it. Next job booked is not until 2nd april. So all of March apart from surveys I have had 4 jobs :(:(:( partner is working away all week as well which has made it worse so i am literally stuck at home, no work, pouring with rain and feeling sorry for myself. should be getting motivated to go get some shopping but cannot even be bothered and might use the freezer store and go tomorrow. I just need some jobs to get me out of the house0 -
Did anyone do an RE tel call last month where you had to book a conference room with your credit card details ?
If you have the full brief to hand could you pm please
Thanks very much0 -
I'm going to reserve judgement on it until it happens I think. I used to do ok with the old system of applying and waiting until the day before for them to allocate but it was so difficult to plan anything and often made planning a circuit difficult as they would assign one shop out of a cluster of ten. It was very frustrating.
Hopefully self assign will help but saying that I seem to pick up less and less through the website now and more from them calling... The old system was rubbish so I can see what they're trying to do but obviously there'll be teething problems along the way. I would just keep trying - if you can get your number of shops up then hopefully you'll be given self assign, although after a while it wouldn't surprise me if it changes from being the select few to everyone...
I think they're one of the better ones to work for, questionnaires are short and sweet and the fee is reasonable... If RE used questionnaires as long as Esa's they'd give you 10% of the fee0 -

I think there must not be many shoppers in my area as I usually have at least five jobs a day booked in. This weeks been awful by comparison... Got a couple in for April but not many. I'm sure it'll pick up, it has to or we'll all get fed up and the MS companies will run out of shoppers!
Been trying to use the time productively and catch up on housework and filing but there's only so much dusting you can do in a day...
Put your feet up have a nice cuppa and watch some daytime TV
I've got to go out as I'm due at the hairdressers and its absolutely chucking it down...0 -
Thanks Ninja I think my worry is I have applied for lots - got applications in for four at the moment but never get many. Also some people in here have done less than me and can self assign so I feel like they dont literally want me
Only concerned as IF they actually allocated work to me sometimes each month there are lots in my actual town. With most of the other companies even though we have branches of most places here this town rarely shows up on the lists (for example opticians, photographers, heath stores etc we have branches but they are not covered)so I have to always drive to other towns and do lots in one go.

Just a quickie.
When generally writing-up reports i use the given terms such as 'Team Member' 'Colleague' 'Associate' etc, which ever it is the client uses.
But if you're reporting on a particular staff member and you have their name, should you use it or keep using terms like 'Team Member' etc?
Thanks.

Got a dvd to watch so might watch it now as a treat rather than wait to this evening and stop worrying about lack of work. I've got 9 jobs booked for April and applied for others so thats over double what I have done this month so even if they are ones with low fees will get me out of the house and doing something.0

well I've done one load of washing and hoovered. Didn't get one React job I wanted. Also a bit peeved that the new scoring system said I did not use spell checker, when I KNOW I did. I did notice a particular word came up with the USA spelling when checked, so not sure if that was the reason why they said make sure spell check. I always spell check as I am guilty of typing too fast and hitting the wrong key IYKWIM.
Do you use US or English spelling?Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 102

I stick to staff member or the correct terminology for that particular client throughout my report; apart from the section asking for a name from badge/business card etc.0 -

I think it depends on a lot of things even just down to who is actually allocating them, if they have a shopper they have a good reputation with in the area they'll probably give most of it to them. It's nothing personal it's just business. Keep trying and you'll get there, I think I applied for about a hundred with ESA before I got one job! Now I get probably about 60% of what I apply for...
I drive so I'm always out and about MSing - just pleased my car runs on fresh air! I've done 7500 miles since the last week in December  and most of it will have been MSing...0
