Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Are those of you doing the liquor audits finding that they are not worth the fee? There is one near me that they keep emailing me about but for some reason I was hesitant and didn't apply. Now reading the info on here, I'm getting the impression that it's a lot of work for the money??
    SPC 8 (2015) #485 TOTAL: £334.65
    SPC 9 (2016) #485 TOTAL £84
    SPC 10 (2017) # 485 TOTAL: £464.80
    SPC 11 (2018) #485

It really depends on the venue and how wide a range of products they stock. Some venues will take about ten minutes others much longer but I feel the fee is reasonable for the work required. Just wish the brief was a little more detailed.

    still got the gyp...

Having released my buffet due to my child having to order and pay for her own meal.. not obvious at all then... have now discovered that my burger visit has magically moved days all by itself... I do have the original email so I'm defo not going mad...They will soon be sick of my emails...

Plus 3 calls last week to do an urgent job... each day told them I can't do it I have my child with me... Shall we lay bets that I'm going to get a 'sorry we've let you go email....!'

Have got my eggy one, so feel like part of the gang now.. just a little part mind.. thanks for the info about the briefing following.. glad it wasn't just me that was a wee bit confused....

I also got the Bare email and have registered with Helion but haven't done any work for either yet.. the plot thickens.... I'm not registered with any MS co's on facebook.. I go on there as myself...! :)

I have done pizza jobs with a child. I got around it by ordering the required items, and saying, 'we're still looking at the kids menu so we'll order his meal in a minute. that way the order is separate and timings are accurate as its just for the required items. Then you just ask them to split the bill on two receipts. Thats the bit i think must sound odd but they never bat an eyelid!

Bored with being "me" on assignments.

Ive just bought a yellow "High Vis" jacket and for the next few weeks I intend being a structutural engineer/surveyor type when I do banks and cars.

I might move on to be a clergyman or a policeman after that.

I like doing the premium car purchase jobs: my lifestyle and profession are limited only by my imagination!:rotfl:

Has everyone got a backlog of jobs waiting to be proof read on RE??

I have one small job from the 8th still sitting there, and another two jobs from the 13th......and as one of them was a Hotel job, and another an expensive toy shop, they come to a lot of money. This really annoys me as it means there's no hope of them catching the 25th pay run now, so realistically it will be mid March before I get the re-imbursement.

Do RE not realise that most people can't afford to lay out hundreds of pounds and then wait ages just because they can't get their act together .

They did they same to me coming up to the last pay run - the cynic in me believes it was done on purpose that way! but my jobs have regularly been sitting for a week or so lately.

Does anyone know if any of the MS companies object to husband and wife working for them independently?

I think some are ok with it. My other half does RE so gets electricals and bookies which I cannot do. There are also some other male orientated jobs that come up. He doesn`t do many, hasn`t really got the knack or the inclination!
I suggested that as he spent most of his time in the bookies anyway, why not get paid for it.lol

I think some people have reported problems with gyp, but I think it was down to them paying into the same bank account twice. I've tried to get my partner to sign up, he's over 25 so is likely to see some more assignments than I am (I've never seen any tapas!) Plus it would be nice for him to have to do some work instead of me always paying and then having to write a report too.
  • Well have got my new digi camera off Ebay, have taken some trial photo`s, the floor, ceiling, waste bin and the pc so I am ready to venture off in a while and attempt to make a packet of salt n vinegar smile. Just hope I remember how the bloomin thing works when I get there!
