....... plus when i pull up in my 1996 Corsa i don't think there going to take me seriously lol

Because of my age and background, I get a lot of the expensive car scenarios (£30,000 and upwards ... I wish!!!).

I have to hide my own car! I either park around the corner or
in/near the MOT bays if the dealership has a service department. On the very few occasions I have been spotted, I say that I have lent my car to one of my children to go on holiday in and I am using theirs. It has never really caused any problems, much to my surprise.
  • Hi Chaps, hope eveyone's had a good week MS-ing so far. My week has been quiet, got a budget hotel type affair tomorrow though, no fee but should be fun.

Anyway I'll cut to the chase. I've just joined TNS and I cannot see any jobs. When I click on 'visit search' nothing happens, no page loads, nada. Is this a problem just on my computer or what? Or does it simply mean there are no jobs available? I thought i'd risk looking like a divvy here before I emailed them directly about it.

    Thanks

When you click visit search it should bring up a search box where you can select your location. if you can see this then select 'all' and it should show some visits. if you dont get this page i would email them as must be something wrong. they 'lost' my application in their system and i emailed after a month or so and they got their it dept to find it and sort it for me :T were very helpful :A

Oh well, my email to ESA didn't work, got one egg shop  and one holiday place :(
Marginally better than nothing. Have got a busy few days with GYP and GR. Only 8 jobs (inc Sat) but this is after main job finishes so I am limited with time and can only do 1 job on a weekday day with these before the shops close. It's a reasonably healthy week though with little or no reimbursements to wait for so I am happy :)

My assertive but polite approach didn't work either. All apps deleted :(
I just cannot work out how the allocations are made. On my first attempt, I went for 5 visits and got none. Then I got allocated some that I had previously applied for, followed by 3 jobs out of 12 apps.......bizarre!

Whoa - just had a blast from the past whilst checking my Helion profile - list of places under "have you eaten at any of these in last year" question:

    "Buffalo Grill"

Jeeez, I remember eating at one of these during a long break in Paris a few years ago...hapy memories! :)

WOW, you really have signed up to everybody...!! The only advice I can give you is that I have been MS'ing for 6 month's now and do approximately 5 - 10 assignments per week. I have yet to pick up a single job from using the Alerts thread, generally because they are not area specific and I often check to find that the jobs on offer are on the other side of the country..

But you also need to be checking the sites direct during the day to check for the jobs that don't make it to the Alerts thread... 99% of my work come's from doing this.

Hello, i'm back from my adventures as a cleaner :o

I do also check the sites randomly during the day. I find the alerts thread hit and miss. e.g. the underground sandwhich's showed up for me 5 hours after the alert lol

I am confined by time/area but really want to get my foot in the door and some experience. Hping to move out before i hit 40 lol (although i may still look 25 lol ha ha ha)

I have also been trying to find things to do during the day. i'm an admin worker but have plenty of time as my work is always done in 3 hours. I do surveys but half i can't take till i get home as my computer systems are german and survey sites don't like that.

I find spotting jobs is becomming an addiction and i'm always so dissapointed when an alert comes out and i'm to old/young/femail/yorkshire etc etc

E.g., why do i have to be 28 on bare to ring a bank? how will they know on the phone lol ha ha ha

If anybody has any idea's about things i could do online during the day a pm would be much appreciated as i don't want to bung the thread up with other stuff.
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!

    Too Yorkshire?! explain...

Considered Matched betting? Check out the "Gambling Introductory Offer Loopholes" section of the MSE forums. Read it carefully. Then read it again. Get it right in your own mind overnight, then read it again. It sounds like "another one of those systems that can't fail but it will" - but it's not. I know "that's what a gambler would say" but really...anyway, go read it. You could be up and running with as small an investment as £50
