    Hello all!

I haven't posted on here in AGES, just lurked a bit. It's good to see the usual flame wars are still going on, some things never change, eh?

Anyway, I noticed Max Aben is about, and I thought I'd add to what people have said about the way MS companies deal with shoppers. Until a few months ago, TNS had regional managers that used to be responsible for allocation and dealing with shoppers in a particular area. As such, I always dealt with the same personm, and it got to the point where he knew my name and recognised my voice on the phone. Working for TNS was always a pleasure because I knew who I would speak to about any problems, and knew he was a good guy. It also made me more likely to do an urgent last-minute job for them.

I'm not suggesting your company follows exactly that system, I'm just making a general observation that the personal touch has a huge impact on the shopper's perception of the company.... TNS has gone so far downhill since they got rid of AMs!

Contrast the situation as it used to be at TNS with, say, GAP, who don't let you phone them, don't reply to emails, and always send rude, generic emails when they need to query something....

Meant to add too... when I did quite a big trip for him to do a last-minute visit in the Welsh borders, he spent ages on the phone going on about the lovely walk along the river there and told me I absolutely *must* take the opportunity to have a walk along it while I was there - never mind about the report being later. Fantastic man. :)

If you take a look at the first page of this thread you will find over 20 websites that should take you just a few clicks to get to a log on page for each. HTH

Yes, as Mharz says most of them should be on the front page of this thread, if you are missing any, list them on here - asking for a loist of everyone would take ages!

Are you having to re-request your password for every site or can you remember them? I was lost when I got my Netbook, 'cos my laptop stores my passwords, didn't know a single one of them, LOL!!!

I noticed this yesterday, it was fine, but not very easy to use on a netbook. On hubby's big 24" screen it's a doddle!!!

I never see any visits available but with being in Northern Ireland I often don't get the same jobs released as you do on the mainland.

I have only ever seen one job in my area for MCE and it went within seconds of getting the email alert!
  • Had a fun conversation with Gyp yesterday. They phoned and asked me to do a burger assignment which is around 20 miles away. I said no as I would have to get a train there to which his reply was "Well, can't you get a lift off someone?"

Do Gyp live in the real world ???
  • Gyp do my head in. Is there any rhyme or reason as to why they sack people? I got the dreaded email this morning. I've always been a good girl, completed reports on time etc. I emailed them to ask why I had been apparantly blocked from one company a few days ago, and the response I got? 'Your sacked love, we can't have MSers actually EMAILING us asking questions! What do you think this is?' (well, not quite that blunt, but it may as well have been)

Oh well......I dont like burgers ANYWAY!

I only ever see haircut jobs on there, and seeing as I've had the same person do my hair for almost 30 years I'm not accepting one!!!

Can you imagine the conversation. "Hey, mate, can you drive me 20 miles for a burger - but you're not allowed to come in with me or have anything to eat, LOL!!!

On another subject, I've just been able to see the underground sandwich shops on RE for the first time ever and have bagged 2 for this week. I'm meant to have given up bread for Lent but this is work so it doesn't count!!!!

    No :D

Perhaps they expect you to stand by the side of the road holding up a piece of cardboard with the name of the burger place on it :rotfl:
