My DH is great when I'm ill, OK so he doesn't cook much but will go round to the shops and get medicinal chocolate and cakes, he will make me toast and bring me a blankie to keep me cosy on the sofa.
He's a gem!
I had an operation at the end of last year, I still haven't recovered totally, but he's been really kind and patient.:D
It's times like these that you remember why you married them in the first place.:kisses3:Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

The only rest he gets really is when a carer comes in each morning to help me wash and get dressed for 45 minutes.
He is a gem and I love him sooooooooooooo much!
OH had to quit his job to look after me which he had worked very hard at. He is selfless!
He never moans either!

My DH is wonderful too. I was ill when we first met (28 years ago) & he never knew whether a date would end up at the hospital. He took it all in his stride & has been a brick ever since.
Thankfully I have only had usual minor illnesses for the last 20 years but he is always brill if I'm not well.
He had always claimed that at some point I would owe him for all those messed up dates, but now says I have paid it back bigtime. 12 months ago he was off work with pain in his neck. Must admit my first thought was "he will be under my feet" as I am used to the house to myself in the day (work from home). |We did not realise that he had actually broken his neck. What we thought would be a week off work turned into 5 months & a major operation. Thankfully he has made a full recovery.
