My hubby is a star when I'm poorly, and always looks after me. I do the same with him of course, he had swine flu last year but I have to admit it did start to wear abit thin... I'm great around ill people for the first day or two then I get fed up!

Mine was a gem when I was really ill last year.. drove several hundred miles back and forth from his to look after me.. took me to doctors and hospital brought me drinks looked after my children, made me food I couldn't eat and drinks I could only just drink and dished out hugs and kisses and made all the right noises...
One night when I was half dead in bed (I had kidney failure, UTI, tonsillitis and glandular fever.. all at once!!) my XH came to do the children their dinner (it was a day he normallly came to do dinner as I was meant to be at college but too ill to go) and he started off having a massive go at me then resorted to just hugging me as I was so very ill.. I had refused to go into hospital because of the children.
So yes my OH is absolutely wonderful when I am ill... That said I did the forcing him to drink, take meds and monitored him when he was ill too.. he had flu of the piggy variety last summer and was very ill for a while.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
My OH is lovely when I'm poorly. He'll still hug and kiss me despite the risk of catching my lurgy. I'm not often majorly sick but I caught a stomach bug a few months ago and it knocked me for six. I was up all night being sick and the lack of sleep made me hallucinate. I was convinced I'd been poisoned and told him it was agony, and that I was dying  I clung to him as best as I could when he left for work and he came back a few hours later. Poor bloke had asked to leave early and have a long lunchbreak because he was worried I was seriously dehydrated. He spent the next few days feeding me little bits of my favourite meals and lemonade with the fizz taken out because I refused to eat (I couldn't keep anything down!)
... I still spent a lot of time wailing for my mum though0 -
My OH was so uncaring not so much as a glass of water when I had flu once during 24years. I hasen to add I'm divorcing him now not just because of this, for many reasons.
It's a true test of how much someone cares for you. My ex failed the test once too often." The greatest wealth is to live content with little."

My OH is the only person I want around when I'm ill - he knows just when to leave me to snooze and when to come and give me a cuddle, he gets me all my favourite treats and makes sure I drink enough and eat when I can't be bothered. He's lovely!0

And his evidence for that statement probably exists only between his ears......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

My OH is brilliant as well - he makes me food, brings me water and drinks, cups of tea etc and fetches anything I want (although to be fair, he does this when I am not ill as well!)
On the other hand, I am a useless nurse. I find it really annoying when he is ill and I have to do stuff!0 -
I don't really get ill but while pregnant I had dodgy bug...I was in the bath and stood up because I thought I was going to vomit and I did right in the sink next to it.....he got rid of the chunks!...now thats love! You may walk and you may run

Yes it is nice. someone to run a bath, get you drinks, food and anything else you need. My OH has been in the bathroom with me when I was vomiting and gross diahorrea, I would not be able to return the favour at all, and he knows that.Grocery challenge year budget €3K Jan €190 Feb €225 Mar €313 Apr €202 May €224 June €329 July €518 Aug €231Sep €389 Oct €314 Nov €358 Dec €335 Total spent €3628

My OH is brilliant also.
I was sick on our first date, as the food he had bought for us to share contained cheese and he didn't know I was allergic at that point.
He looked after me so well and saw me at my worst on our first date, and still wanted to see me again! lol. I knew he was a keeper then.
But it's a two way street. I look after him when he's ill and vice versa.February wins: Theatre tickets0
