I noticed exactly the same thing the other day, namely little gems, were 48p, now 54p, cherry toms, were 58p, now 64p (surely at this time of year they should be going down? So really you can predict what will be "rolled back" now just by watching for the price hikes. Bit of a cheek really.

It'll be interesting to watch won't it? I used to buy lettuce every week, but since watching the pennies it's had to slip off my list as it was nothing for us to munch our way through at least three a week. Saves me nearly £2 a week. Shame I've not done better with my lettuce growing attmepts!
Kaz xJanuary '06 Grocery Challenge (4th - 31st) £320.Week 1 - £73.99 Week 2 £5.10 (so far)
Someone burst my bubble and I lost the plot so no idea what I spent now...Other Jan :- Petrol £20.41, Clothes £8.50, House £3.I will try to work it out.

kaz i am 99% sure it was asda but they might be doing away with their seeds now, you could try b&q or homebase or a garden centre, sowed mine two or three weeks ago and i could be cutting some now, think you can cut them about four times, they regrow, but i could be sowing more now to keep it going through the summer, i grew mine in a tray in the greenhouse but outside will do too0

kaz i am nearly sure it was asda but they are likely getting rid of their seeds now, my packet says lettuce, salad bowl, you would get them at b&q or homebase or a garden centre
mine are nearly ready for cutting, sowed them two or three weeks ago, you can cut them up to four times and they regrow, have mine in a tray in greenhouse, only used about half the packet will sow more soon
they can grow outside too0 -

the co-op is £1.25 for 4 pints iceland milk is still £1
I get my milk from Farmfoods, 4pint bottles cost £1.60 for the 2. BARGAIN
- And unlike the stuff I bought in Sainbury's the other week which went off on thursday when I'd bought it on Wednesday and was supposed to still be on the shelf till Saturday!!!! I have never had any problems with it going off.0 -
I know Asda's smart price orange juice and apple juice shot up by about 10p! each!
Same thing happened in Tesco a week later."I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0 -
took my gran shopping to M&S the other day, and 4 pints of milk was £1.46  This is one shop i'd NEVER do shopping in because their prices are just so ridiculously over the top. Can't tell my gran to shop elsewhere cos i've tried and she thinks she's getting the best cos it costs more, but thats grans for you!!
I get my milk in Heron....89p for 4pints
Went to Morrisons for my usual packet of mince, only to find it had gone up from 89p to a massive £1.29!!!
Its the same with bread...90-odd pence for a decent loaf! i know i should make my own but i just can't get the hang of it...the kids say the only thing my HM bread is good for is as a door stop!!!:laugh:0
