E: 31/03 - Round The World trip & £1000 spends (Quacky Races)

If that was how it worked, sure. But it's not.
I'll explain exactly how the game works on the 31st
As you're so sure I was about to have another try so I could figure out what you were getting at, share and help out a few fellow MSErs. BUT you can no longer join (despite there being long enough to finish if you go quickly??) so why not let us know now?
Anyone with an active duck won't catch you as they will have been racing more slowly for most of their time.
Cheers!0 -

You gave me a heart attack then, I still need to do another attempt but, luckily registration is still open (I'm guessing my interpretation of "open" is quite loose, but surely they can't DQ you for bookmarking the registration page and using that!)
If it was a random game I'd be more than happy to say how it works whilst it was ongoing, but, it's not and I think that giving people answers to random draw questions is one thing, giving them the answer to a game like this is an entirely different one.0 -

Sort of understand where you're coming from wrt not helping everyone as your link works to re-register, although not sure it's 100% in the spirit of this forum it is still a competition so each to their own.
Once your link doesn't work any more maybe you could point the rest of us in the right direction for next time?
Cheers again.0 -
Yeah, I'll post exactly how it works. I'm expecting to get DQ'd anyway as it appears my first duck was, even though there was zero cheating going on I think they actually underestimate the maximum maintainable speed. I've had no reply to my inquiries about why my time hasn't counted, so who knows.Sort of understand where you're coming from wrt not helping everyone as your link works to re-register, although not sure it's 100% in the spirit of this forum it is still a competition so each to their own.

So now I'm wondering if it's actually best to aim for a time that fast as they'll prob just DQ it again, or if I should just aim to beat the current leader. I can pretty much do any time I want from 4 days 23 hours+ with just over 40 updates, so if they DQ'd me before when I'd done nothing wrong then who knows if they'll do it again. I hate games like this where you get no interaction with the GM's, they just seem to pick and choose what emails they reply to so you're left second guessing their decisions.
Just as an example of what I've worked out about the game, as the optimal settings are pretty easy to work out even if you don't know why they work out that way.
Every duck, despite having different requirements, essentially has the same requirements. That is, one stat has to be at 70%, one at 50% and one at 30%. The way the speed you're at is worked out is how far away from these you are. 30% away in one is the same speed as 10% away in each. The slowest speed is 63, the fastest, 126. How much faster than 63 you go is determined by the difference in the stats you set, and the perfect ones.
This is the bit that took me the longest to figure out, but the speed is worked out like this. I figured that as they all had the same requirements then it was probably essential to have them add up to 150, which makes a lot of sense as the lowest is 0, the highest 300, and 150 sits right in the middle, it was pretty obvious once you see the slowest speed is when the stats are either all full, or all empty, so 150 away from the perfect settings.
So with that in mind I set to work out how the exact speed was worked out, and after a LOT of time spent updating ducks, and an equal amount of math it worked out pretty simply. The proportion of the 63 you get in extra speed is based on the ratio of how close you are to the perfect settings, bang on and you're 150/150 which = 1 so you get all of it. 0/150 = 0 (every point you are away takes one off, regardless of if you're over or under) so it's none of it, 30 away and you're 120/150, which = 0.8, so you get 80% of it, or 50.4 and your speed is 113.4, or 113 because it doesn't do decimals.0 -
You must have a lot of spare time on your hands. Good luck if you give it another try. Personally I won't be (I have to go to work - I was just going to see if I could figure out where we were all going wrong...but I'm not sure we were I was going with 70/50/30 and couldn't beat the average speed of the winner)
You may not be disqualified it you've not been told you had been...someone else has had an e-mail saying they've been disqualified. Maybe try calling O2 rather than e-mail you may get an answer that way? If you didn't cheat or have a bug they can't disqualify you without a reason!
Good luck!0 -

Good luck!
I'd call them if they had a number on the site, but alas they don't (well not that I've seen).
They've amended the t&c's to state last entrants 22nd march (it didn't say that the other day! If it did I'd have started one yesterday!) so I guess even if I do get the fastest time I won't win, but I've gotta try!0 -
I've got there head office number will call and speak to marketing tomorrow to find out what is going on! I should be at the top of the leader board right now, they have not replied to any of my e-mails and I have had no e-mail saying I have been disqualified. To disqualify you they must inform you that you have been disqualified.0

No you shouldn't.
Your game bugged out repeatedly, giving you an impossible to achieve time.0 -
No there was no bugs in the system
. You can do 8500 in 3 days and 7 hours
, there is several ways of playing the game
. I achieved a time of 4 days, 20 hours and 5 mins. My duck keeps telling me to top it up once more before I can see myself on the leaderboard, I've done this several times. Eventually I was placed on the leaderboard yesterday but was removed again and earlier today they put me back on it but as soon as I logged into my account it was taken off again, so the fault is the leaderboard. If i had been disqualified they would have e-mailed and if you had they would have e-mailed you. They have to let you know

I checked out the max speed of all 5 ducks before "playing" for real and none have a max speed higher than 126
optimum levels sleep/luv/food are - Sherduck = 50/70/32, Hono 32/50/70, Rotten 32/70/50, Jenny 70/32/50, Brucelee 70/50/32
Its very dedicated to read that people have been getting up in the night to luv their ducks, but i prefer sleep so i set a macro to top up the three levels back to the optimum values every 10 minutes.
So within a few minutes of setting off around the world I was swimming at 125-126 and remained at that speed all the way round the world (except for 3-4 hours when a pop-up window appeared and blocked play, but even then it didnt go below 100)
You'd expect this duck to end up in first place but strangely it took over 6 days to complete the journey. The point i'm making is that glitches dont always work in your favour!
And there is absolutely no way that you can legitimately have a winning average of 124 if you have only topped up 70 times.
The minimum possible time that the race can be won is 4 days 23 hours and 25 minutes.
The values drop every 10 minutes so to genuinely achieve that speed you would need to have cared for your duck 716 times.
Anybody that claims differently, is either a cheat (like me) or a liar.0
