Fed up with Orange!

mrsands of course the replacement phones are reconditioned, Orange send out hundreds of handsets a day they cant all be brand new, the majority are handsets that have been returned under the 7 day distance selling rule, you arent entitled to a brand new handset, the same applies to any electronic device under warranty
clb776 just because you handset is discontinued it does not mean they cannot replace it with a brand new, they may still have stock and if not they will send out a similar model, eg a Nokia N860 -
ok so as i did not want a touch screen (i said if i had wanted a touch screen i would have got one...obviously!!)...so they said what phone did i want, i said not a sony ericcson, and one that is at least the same spec as mine, if i dont like it, i'll have to lump it i think. I cant see that they will do much else. I mean, i might have just been very unlucky, but i dont want another faulty replacement. They have emailed the department that says what different phones you can have to see if they will change them, just have to wait and see really!
thanks for all your comments, ill let you know what they say tommorrow!0 -
sony ericcson now been diagnosed as faulty, replacement coming today.
Still no word on nokia, but first attempts at a different model that is not a touch screen have been denied so think just have to put up with it and try again with this phone!0 -

Thanks, thts the same address I had, so I will write my complaint to him and see what they come up with!0

complained by email to ceo by address given here, got a call back 2 days later, got a different model offered which i have been told they think is brand new.
This is all very well but what should I say? If its reconditoned I would rather have the same model I have now and take my chances...I don't know what to do! They obviously cannot fix their phones so don't see why if its a different model this should make any difference?0 -
offered me another reconditioned phone but a different model..plus I also had to pay the £15 admin fee, I said so I had to pay £15 for a faulty phone from you and then to get another one pay £15 again, what happens if that ones faulty...its in the terms and conditions!!!? reply from someone in the executive office...yes....hmmm...
never go with orange, thats my opinion. I will be ending my contract with them when it ends.0 -
emailed them again as phone is utterly broken, orange really do not care, don't bother with orange care, its a con0

hmm i have been with orange for 12 years my last sony ericsson was faulty after a few months sent out a reconditioned one and it was fine looked good too.
i am surprised that the problem you have having, i would take your case to the citizens advice bureau to see what they say instead of messing about with orange, this simply shouldn't happen as often as this.
but definately take ALL paperwork you have including dates and who you have spoken/written to, to citizens advice. My Signature is MY OWN!!0
