Checkatrade might work - I (clearly!) haven't tried it. If you were local I'd give you the details for Woody the.... - no, said too much already. :p:D

ah you mean like the mybuilder.com website which has lots of feedback about how good they all are??? Which I swear is filled in by their mates!!!!!!!

God, I need wine and chocolate.

although to be fair they told me on the DIY thread that there is something called trustmark so I might have a nose at that

    Now, about Woody.....

Here is one to cheer you up...as you know I live in a shack too. I have about £5k worth of work to do at the moment. I cant give my money away!!! Tradesmen dont call when they say they will, dont turn up, and if by some miracle they do actually turn up, they do a !!!!! job. No recession in the building trade, certainly not in sunny Wiltshire!

So Mike, I know where you are in the scheme of things. Oh and remember all that positive toss - just get an axe and kill them all!!!!!! :D

Word to the wise Redlady, whatever they do, add 50% on top to the budget! Either they'll go over or you'll be paying a second guy to repair first guys !!!! ups. Never met 1 yet that did a job right first time...Is it a man thing I wonder?

You need a contact number for Mikes NBL, if a man can do it, betcha life a woman will do it better! ;)

If you're not eating right, are you at least managing your diabetes!!

Hope your back pay arrives soon Mike, never mind the ceasars, you'll be eating the bloody dogs in a minute...It won't matter how cute they looked on the beach at sunrise, you'll be salavating at the thought of roasting 'em. Lucky you've got no cooker big enough for them,...see there's always a bright side:p

Only joking mate, how are you & can I do anything to help?

    satay?

About 6 weeks until they sort it out and get round to sending a cheque by snail apparently. I'll forget about it until i see it or it will all be spent. It'll pay some bills which will be great, but i don't think there will be enough for luxuries. Actually the past year or two has shown me that i don't really mind not having the latest iphone or whatever. There's lots of stuff that's nice which doesn't cost much.

i'm ok. Thank you. I can't think of anything i need that anyone could do really. At least not from a distance. Maybe i can do something for someone else on here.

    Night, all.
