Have you managed to get in touch with any of the other people the builder was dodgy towards?
Are you going to try and get the builder back in court for lying under oath? might be interesting.
Also any progress on following up any ideas from the film crew?
Don't forget to let us know when you are on the tv.
Glad things are settling down a bit for you though - it did all sound quite hectic but hopefully you can still keep the pressure up a bit on the builder.
Good Luck

I've written to the courts that issued the other CCJs so should hear in a week or so. I'm asking what the process is re a possible perjury case. That's criminal so the police might raise an eyebrow. If they're not too busy walking round my car right now looking at the tax disc (I have a few more days)...! I've fed what I know back to the researchers. I'll let you know when it's on - early April.
I haven't got an upcoming deadline for anything now for a while. A spot more at the dentist's this week if I can get some money for petrol to get there! Living on the banana buns my friend left at my door.
A brief, cakey lull in the proceedings...

That sounds fab (minus the 3 page letter to the MP. Can I hire you to write all the complaint letters I want to send but haven't actually got around to writing?!)lisawaters wrote: »I can live with that. You'll have one less DFW too - me!

Love the poetry Mike but don't give up your day job! lol
Well, what are you going to do this week then? You had such a full week last week it's going to be hard to beat!
Glad you had a great day with your family. I'm sure there will be many more to come and hopefully soon.

Here is one to cheer you up...as you know I live in a shack too. I have about £5k worth of work to do at the moment. I cant give my money away!!! Tradesmen dont call when they say they will, dont turn up, and if by some miracle they do actually turn up, they do a !!!!! job. No recession in the building trade, certainly not in sunny Wiltshire!
So Mike, I know where you are in the scheme of things. Oh and remember all that positive toss - just get an axe and kill them all!!!!!!0 -

As an expert employer of builders (ahem) I concur. If you find a good one, you don't recommend him to your friends as he won't have time to do your stuff. One good guy tends to know others. I'd start each on a tiny job and see what they're like. Checkatrade might work - I (clearly!) haven't tried it. If you were local I'd give you the details for Woody the.... - no, said too much already.:D
If I get out of this in one piece I think I will set up as a recommender - you want work done? Get me in, I manage everything and take a modest ;)cut of the total.
Actually, that sounds like a plan. Except the good builders do't need the work... Hmmm. This is a two pipe problem, Watson...0 -

You don't like? (Dodge-he-build-her ?)
Lots of calls and emails to do, bit of lounging around at the dentist's and hoping some money magically appears by Friday so I can collect the boys and take them out for a Chinese to make up for.... well, everything really! That's similar to my strategy of looking in the fridge to see if something tasty has appeared which wasn't there two hours ago.
I am starting to hallucinate about plates of roast chicken, gravy and crisp green vegetables... but it looks like Honey Nut Flakes again tonight. Might fight the pooches for a pot of their Caesar's for Senior Dogs...
