    no! Really?

Funny that! There was a time when I'd look for the best in people. After my own dealings with various tradesmen, I'm always suspicious!!

Had a guy fitting a new kitchen before christmas, was only supposed to take a week but instead of a job price, he gave a daily rate!! ALARM BELLS!

Needless to say, it took 3 weeks (no cooker or sink till 3rd week).

I was a nice, friendly and sane person once but I have to admit I was a right cow to him from the 2nd week onwards and was glad to see him gone!

Well I go and do some work for a change and when I come back there are three or four more pages here!
Not surprised really that you slept so long - think how much you put into getting ready (I know Makeup helped). I remember being told when studying that a 2000 word essay took as much energy as running a marathon... and that was just the study and compilation, not taking into account the nervous energy needed for an appearance on national TV. So your sleep was well-earned, and probably all the deeper for you being warm enough ;).
And this thread continues to generate insight and spur the imagination, in more than one direction (!) - I will keep a lookout in the news this summer for any son et lumieres in Sussex, and read avidly.
Night then, catch up tomorrow :)

Hi all. I hope you're doing OK and having a peaceful day. My eldest drove us (blimey!) up to Surrey for the youngest's driving experience day. Weather was gorgeous and it was all good. I even got fed by my sister. She'd briefed Mum about the telly thing but left it to me to fill in the details. I did so, thinking I'd send a note in a week or two warning her some of the stuff sounds a bit dramatic etc. (completely ruined me, skint, devastation, huge sum of money, open to the elements - the kind of things mummies fear). I said to my sister later I couldn't keep avoiding taking decisions and doing things on the basis that it might upset Mum if she found out. She agreed I couldn't, which was funny because our family is a complete hive of secrets! Nobody knows anything interesting about anyone else, and Mum knows least of all of us! I'm sure we're not unique as a family.

I wrote and posted letters to the county courts requesting details of all the CCJs shown on Bob's registry. The one I thought was mine is from the court near where he lives, not where it was heard, so unless there's been an error, it's another creditor. Added to that, mine's not even on there! It should be.

Thanks to a suggestion by SouthernBelle I have also contacted a QC about the legality of charging orders and it looks like a real dog's breakfast. So not quite the best day I've had lately, but I shall get my nose to the wotsit tomorrow and make some more calls.

Hmm - what a tangled web he's weaved. I'm sure you will have great satisfaction when it all gets untangled and you get your money back -I'm sure you will. You're doing brilliantly. On the tv and your own fan club - what next your own chat show? Seriously though - the fight continues - good luck - we're all rooting for you.

Getting a spot on a national peak time telly prog was a bit of an achievement, but 'the fan club' (your description!) is much more important to me.

Me? Nah... I just work odd hours. Got a bit of time off now though.

You seem to have got back to your usual levels of activity - does that mean the exhaustion is over and done with or just that you can't wind down? Anyway you sound to have been productive and I'm glad the driving experience day was a success, you got a free meal and your mum is okay with what she's heard so far (I assume she is?)

Interesting about the CCJs. I hope you can get yours added?

Hi Mike and everyone else - home after a weekend away, much needed rest, and as I said would happen you have all had a wail of a time. Well done with the film crew and pleased to read that they have also given you other leads and advice. Keep at it you have done so well and maybe we have been a support to you, but honestly it has been down to you. Were your boys pleased to hear how well you had done? Back in harness and following with renewed enthusiam. Billie xx
