Good luck with it all mike, hopefully you wont need a website for donations if the builder pays up eh.... :)

It's likely \i won't get the money. If he's got any assets and I can find them I might. Teaming up with other creditors and going for him might work.

I've never suffered from depression, so excuse me if I speak out of turn, but it's like you've forgotten what you were depressed about and are just feeling more "normal" now. Hopefully that's a bit of a weight of your shoulders and continues.
This could be the one thing that goes "Everythings getting better" - the house, the money, and more importantly, your health.
It's like that snowball calculator for things getting better. One thing triggered the rest!

    Enjoy your weekend, man!

    Robert.

Thanks. I want to know what a snowball calculator is now!

Right now I'm feeling it's better to get working on the house than just chase the money. Hopefully I can do both.

    Depression? Anger without enthusiasm.

I headed up the PR team for a big company 15 years ago. 16 staff, big car and salary. Depression? I take two days to return a phone call, sometimes longer.

It affects people differently but doing tiny things becomes a challenge. But you can still go out and have a really fun evening. You just pay for it afterwards. And that is often a bit grim.

Wednesday's tribunal confirmed that I'm still too depressed to work. In a way I'm glad I have that piece of paper. It makes accepting some limitations easier. It's something to - not blame it on - but to offer a reason why some things are difficult. I guess I focused everything I had yesterday on doing the job in hand and appearing as normal as I could. The come-down was quite abrupt.

Have you found anyone else that he has done work for ?? maybe you could liase with them see what stories they can offer, i think word of mouth alone will ruin the business that he had, i dont want to get carried away with taking over the world and ruin the guy and his family i think id be quite haoppy knowing you got all your cash back and he didnt take anyone elses money and run x

I phoned one of the other companies with a CCJ against him. She described him to a tee. She didn't know he owed anyone else money!

I can contact some of the others too through the courts next week as it's all in the public domain. Knowledge is power at this stage. I'll see if they want to do one concerted action.

    Mike, remind me....

Did you say he now works for someone else, rather than being self employed?
Does his new employer know about all this (including the publicity)?

He claimed last July in court he was starting work with a local builder. It could have been a lie. If he is, that's slightly useful if I go for an attachment to earnings, but I want to try the force of sale of his house first. Or I'll always wonder. The earnings thing is a pig to administer. I have to follow his career. If he changes employer I have to tell the court and get a variation order to continue collecting weekly payments etc. This would go on for years. The courts do nothing to help. And if he goes self employed again, the deal's off and I'm back to noting.

If the programme names him he could be sacked. Someone will employ him. I'm not so vindictive that I want him never to work again. I want my house finished, the money back, and the other people who also got conned to get theirs back too. After that I have no interest in him.

But until any of that happens I will stop at nothing to bring him down. I'm gorgeous like that.

    Was it fun?

And thanks for suggesting the Spanx... did the job, and such a great range of colours. One has to be so much more careful with HD tv...
