Please advise - it's all gone SO wrong

I WAS GOING TO BED! Then someone mentioned BFG (choc cake) & shots & I recalled the last on line party with the antics of some of you...(miggy, BILLIE & Happy!) Knowing your reputations for a tipple too many...and you MW ....and you poo

Poetry day! (meant to be office party but it'll have to do!)

I think I enjoyed the party
I can not remember it well.
My stomach is churning in circles
and my poor head is hurting like hell.

I think I enjoyed the buffet,
but the crab paste was long past its best.
The quiche was awash with heaven knows what
and the salad was limp and depressed.

The cheese cubes on sticks were all crusted,
the vol-au-vonts soggy and stale,
the trifle was dusted with fag ash
and smelt less of sherry than ale.

I think I enjoyed the fruit cup,
and a glass of the managers wine.
The gin and the Scotch and the vodka
all left me feeling just fine.

The problems began with the brandy-
one sip of it went to my head
I remember removing my stockings,
and then....oh, I wish I was dead.

I seem to remember the records,
they played all my favourite sounds.
I started the conga to 'Nights in White Satin'
and cha-cha'd to 'Send in the Clowns'

Then somebody danced on the table
and sat on the managers knee,
and did something crude with the managers hat
and- oh glory, I think it was me.

My memory's starting to focus,
I remember the managers face
when I told him I hated the work and the staff
and just what he could do with the place.

I think I enjoyed the party-
one over the eight is no crime,
but reviewing last night in the cold light of day,
I think I had better resign!

Thanks for your concern Miggy but my patch is for my eyes only! I couldn't be seen in public with it - people might think I'm a complete nutter! I feel it's ok to admit things on here because you all know I'm a nutter anyway.

But......

Well if you think about it, when was the last time any of you were walking round Boots or in the local Pharmacy buying your chemisty type goods and you thought "I know, I should buy an eye patch in case I need it one night!"

Heavens to Betsy, could you imagine your shopping if you did that? LOL I'd be paying for my petrol and think "Oh I must get some of those red trimmed car mats in case my next car is red".

Hmmm.... I think I might be a true nutter as I am actually thinking of buying a new pc in case mine suffers a "fatal error" and I did buy a new monitor before my last one busted.

Oh no! I have a spare microwave! One of my friends is younger than my current microwave! How weird is that? They don't make them how they used to do they? Microwaves I mean not friends!

I should go to bed, my eye feels better but the rest of me is tired now.

Poo honey, I'm slightly concerned the adhesive from the electrical tape has caused a weird chemical reaction in you and befuddled your mind! And please tell me you have protected your eyebrow? You might look like a nutter tomorrow even without the eye-patch if not! :rotfl:

Given I'm in most of my photos, it must have been the chief photographer who was the photographic queen! I've managed to download them onto the 'puter now. Just need to work out where to put them next (I have picassa but I can't work it, even with Mike's "foolproof" instructions!). Will get onto it and let you know.

Spoke to Mike a little while ago. He's still waiting for connection and for his things to be returned. He's hoping it will be tomorrow and will post if he's organised and rigged up. Be thursday at the latest.

He told me he went to burger king (I think it was BK?) tried to find wi-fi so he could see what was going on! :rotfl:

Told him we were all waiting to hear one of his amazing speeches, no doubt we'll need tena! No doubt he'll get the squits again! :rotfl:

Told him that pictures were being screened and put on FB pages, he's still worrying the BBC will be spying and asked that you don't give access to newbies on the site in case they're a bbc spy! :rotfl:

ALSO told him he has zillions to catch up on & better be quick as thread is getting ever closer to 5000 mark.

Anything else he will have to tell you himself but he's very happy!

Hmmm! I reckon he's buying time to perfect his speech! I'll bet he's on at least draft 972 by now .

And can any-one tell me why I was in bed, sound asleep before midnight most of the time in Littlehampton, but suddenly I have returned to my insomniac ways? Shhhh, don't tell Dell it might be his fault! I can't have my laptop playing funny bu**ers with me. I'd have to join my flat-mate in his odd, late night hitting and swearing at the computer ritual!

@SB - LOL, I will bear that in mind when going for my supervision this afternoon!

@ NID - I have just worked out who Simon Knight is, sorry! So the answer to 1) is 'Yes'. I only knew him as Mr. Knight.

@ Poo - I too have an ancient microwave - been repaired three times. (First was damage caused by a jar of marmite that bounced and struck in on the innards - weird! Other times were mechanical parts like door latch wearing out, but it really was built to keep on and on and on. I couldn't afford the modern equivalent and don't want to get a cheappie one in case it dies after a year).

... *thinks* I believe I am lacking red-trimmed car mats. Now do I go and look for some while stocking up on eye patches, or do I address the clutter that has inexplicably entered my house?

SB that poem - well reminds me of a friend who in an am dram performance had to play a drunk tart - she did a brilliant job and I am envisaging her saying it.
Nic do you not think it had something to do with all the physical work, booze and of course those friends!!
