Please advise - it's all gone SO wrong

Evening all.

Sorry about last night, I went a bit delirious didn't I? Must be the sun or maybe heatstroke from having to drive with the heater on in my car!

Well I may be buying a car tonight, I have my eye (the good one*) on one on Ebay. I was checking one out earlier and it was being sold from Littlehampton! lol The one I'm checking out now is a little more local!

Billie, there wasn't a whole lot of drinking going on in Littlehampton, we were all too busy or too knackered! lol

SB, fab poem. I didn't do that, I don't get drunk 'cus "I'm a laydy"!

Mike, hurry on, I can't wait to hear from you! Hope you haven't had too many people knocking on your door wanting a full tour and if you do give them a tour don't forget to charge them an admission fee! I really hope you're enjoying your new home, taking a dip in the skip jaccuzi often. lol

Be back soon, have to go check on that car.

Shame we didn't know about that car in Littlehampton last week, you could have abandoned Satan and driven the new one home and not been so flippin hot. Good luck with the one closer to home though.

Mike is getting frustrated about being away so long, said it feels like his arm has dropped off! We were trying to estimate how many posts he has to catch up on. He also knows that a new thread will be needed very soon as we have been very busy!

I have had so many visitors this year my house has never been so tidy, and more to come at the end of July so will have to be spick and span again by then. I know they come to see us not how we live but we do care don't we!

Hi Maty, I think I was a bit demented last night. I'm ok tonight though.

There's nothing like having visitors to get your butt in gear to getting that housework done - I could do with inviting some people round (in about 2 months time! lol).

No bids on "my" car yet and only 42 mins before the auction closes. Starting to get a bit jittery over it. It's not the car, the car is everything I want (except about £50-£100 more than I want to spend), it's the insurance I'm worried about. If I have to cancel my existing insurance I may get abbout £20-£30 back but will lose this years NCB, although I still have 70% NCB.

Hope Mike gets online tomorrow, I've missed him and his wit.

Doh! just thought of some research I meant to do.

Surely you won't have to cancel your insurance, just transfer it to the new car? Hope the auction went well and you know you will be the proud owner of new wheels Then Satan can be officially retired :eek:

Where has the sun gone, by the way? At 7.15 this morning I remember saying smuggly to my colleagues who were just coming on shift that I was goinghome to change into shorts... so it's probably my fault it's gone all grey outside. Never got changed into the shorts, either.

Do you think Mike has actually been back on line for a day or so but is still trawling through the backlog? (Bit of a mixed metaphor, sorry). (How does one trawl through anything? Is it like a trawler at sea? I'm not sure what they do, either. I really must get an education one day).

I am so excited for Mike knowing he has no more worries about living in a building site - what a lifted weight that is!!!

Well done to all you msers who went, sorry i couldnt come I really wanted too and just couldnt make it. Cant wait to see the house and watch the programme!! The ratings will be sky high x

Re cleaning and visitors...me too!!!
Mind you, I am trying to get through all the muddles (as my dear friend called them!) one at a time...may get more ironing done tonight...my mountain range has decreased after the weekend's attack..so now only a couple of hills..want to clear it before we go on holiday on July 6th...been finding things that haven't been worn since last summer! :eek:

Right, must get off here and get some gardening done before it gets too hot...may have left it too late already though ! Also have to supervise (or at least direct) DS2 clearing next door's garden...HUGE budlejias and lilacs to cut down...then shred/compost/burn!! After that, it's the 6-foot tall nettles to cut down.....:eek:

Hope Mike gets on here today sometime, though it will take him days to catch up!! What happens when the thread reaches 5000 posts??

Will be watching the mammoth tennis match this afternoon...saw most of it yesterday....got loads of stitching done
