Miggy sorry to hear that mum is back in hospital, but with you working she is in the best place. You need to keep your strength up as well - thinking of you and giving you virtual help - bubbly and shots as well! (sorry!!).

SB - pleased that you have been in touch with Mike and hope to hear from him very soon. Have emailled you.

Well I think it's time for bed - DS3 is now in Spain (I hope) and partying and mum is a long and distant memory!!!!

    Loves you all

    Billies xx

    Thanks MatyMoo & Billie :)
MatyMoo, I'm so glad you said this - today for the first time Mum's neighbour said I should go to look after her for a few days when she comes out. I said (nicely) that I'm not a nurse and can't give her the care she requires, and changed the subject on to finding a nursing agency, but now I feel a bit of pressure, apart from the natural tendency to help out. Of course I can't - I have four people here who need me, I'm not able (skills-wise or psychologically) to go between the two places ad infinitum. What she needs is not a daughter dropping everything, but a skilled team. It's her choice that she's refused social care!
Having said all that - I've been over for various emergencies in the past and had to get her into hospital a couple of times because she got into a state where I was unable to help her.
Billie - bubbly & shots! You are wonderful!

By the way - I have baked a virtual Black Forest Gateau for Friday. Haven't had it in years and just thought you all might help me eat it :)

Not sure where to start - Billie, that's awful, I hope she's okay. Hope you are too. I was right by a RTA once and know what you mean about the sound of it - nothing like on TV. This thread is moving on faster than I can type (that's saying something!) so will just add- look after yourself.
SB - thanks for that lovely email, you are such an encourager :) I hope things are soon okay with you, too. Thinking of you and will be replying soon :)
In general in the world of Mig - tension coming & going but the latest is mum is back in hospital (yes, you heard right - her third admission in under a month, they must like her!) so in a way I can breathe again - she may be sick but at least she's being cared for. Perhaps it's as well she's several hours away as I can't be there to try to pick up the pieces all the time and she needs proper care.
tomorrow to the day after I'm at work, so don't be alarnmed if you don't hear from me. If (When!) the thread passes 5000, don't worry, I will find you!

Aww miggy, thanks for all your kind words 'bout me too honey, not told I talk sense or called wise very often! (JJ's thread)
Stressful time for you but I understand the relief of knowing she's well cared for in hospital, I hope things improve for your mum and you very soon. We'll never lose you migs, I'll go back and delete ALL my posts if need be, talking tosh in most of them anyway! ;)
    Hugs & best wishes.

Hmmm..120 pages of reading would take too long. Go to Mike's post 3052, he gave a great summary that had us all in fits! (OCD! :p)

G'night everyone, sleep tight migs, billie, happy & maty, off to the land of nod too!

    Evening all again.

I half see everyone is going to bed.

Miggy, sorry to hear your mom is not well again. I guess she'll be in hospital for longer now the Cons have introduced fines for readmitances. That would be good for you because at least you have the peace of mind that she's being looked after poperly.

Billie, hope you get over the shock of seeing that accident. I still get flashbacks and traumas from when I was in an A&E and a little boy was brought in, he had a Spiderman costume on and had thrown some rope over something and thought he would be able to swing on it just like Spiderman. Of course he couldn't because the rope wasn't attached to anything. His parents were distraught. It was very distressing.

SB you are coming out with some gems tonight! You are fantastic with those post numbers and pages! Friends or not, I'm still glad I was upwind of you in Littlehampton!

Did someone mention Black Forest Gatux? Hmmm yeah! I'll have some of that! Looking forward to the "1 week Anniversary" party here on Friday night! lol

Well, I'm having a problem with my left eye atm - it hurts like someone is sticking it with a pin! So I thought it could do with a rest but the rest of me doesn't want to go to bed yet so I've made a patch out of cheap toilet roll and black electrical tape - I know I look so sexy! Gabrielle eat your heart out! Your patch isn't a patch on my patch! lol

So I fell up the stairs, put coffee half in the mug and half all over the counter, sprayed myself with water whilst trying to clean out the milk bottle - I know now why God gave us two eyes!

I think my typing has improved though, I haven't spotted any typos yet!

SB, thanks for the update on Mike, I hope he can get on soon.

Happy, please keep taking the tablets, we want you on top form for Friday night!

I think I'm going to log off now, I've probably got square eye from reading all these posts and those on DT about the Emergency Budget!

Good night all and hope you all have a great day tomorrow. (Secretly hopes it's cloudy so she doesn't melt in the car having to drive with the heater on and sunburnt nose and face can recover somewhat).

    See you all tomorrow night.

Poo - be careful with that eye patch - imagine if your face is all tanned and you have one white eye!
You are right about the hospital admittance - funny how they were all ready to send her home then suddenly changed their tone the day that was announced! But having said that, the staff were lovely and very caring & perceptive. They can't help the overarching policies.
One-week party - shall we have a virtual beach BBQ with those floating lantern things? Methinks it would be perfect for this time of year.

Thanks for the summary - lol, sooooo much has happened! Its one of those difficult-to-keep-up-with threads and i'm already involved with several others eeeek :rotfl: :rotfl:

I am proud for everyone's help - its been brilliant, well done to everyone that is involved, whether actively or online support - it's absolutely tremendous. :D

Aaaw thanks.... glad he eventually listened to the cry for help. That's the main thing. I actually forgot I was his first response, way back in miserable February - and look at things now - such an improvement! Fair play, it's a winner all round - That has the thumbs up from Niddy Boy lol ;);)
