Sorry to hear that QS. I have no idea who got paid what, I believe most of it would have been done foc as Happy said with goodwill. I know the skip hire company gave their "Rabbits" (just in case I'm not allowed to advertise for them) for free as I heard the gaffa telling Nick (I think - see I can name drop too MW) "Well that's the charity budget gone for the whole year".

Oh well QS at least you got fed and watered for free.

I hope work picks up for you soon.

I hope something comes through for you quickly Quiet Spark. Obviously you will get a certain amount of positive spin-off once the programme is aired but I can see it's now you could do with it.

Quiet Spark, sorry to hear you have your own problems and wish you well, same to all others that volunteered their time. Other than DIY SOS team, I don't think anyone was paid honey, at least not in monetary terms. The reward was in the faces of those that recieved everyones help.

I hope karma pays you back with interest. I remember you posting that you made many useful contacts and ran out of business cards, lets hope something comes along soon. Once the show is aired, I'm sure your work load will increase tenfold, what a reference to have!

On the plus side....you did find lurrrvvv!:D

Could do with thanks Happy - saw a little girl get knocked over this evening and they say tea is good for shock. Parents were sauntering along with two other children and she was ahead of them and just ran across the road. Luckily the car that hit her was in rush hour traffic so not going too fast, but I can still hear the thump. Father ran into the road and picked her up which I don't think he should have, but instinct I suppose cos she was only little about 3/4, and then he took off his t shirt to mop blood from a head wound. Makes me angry when I see little ones running ahead of parents, they are in a little world of their own and are unaware of the dangers. Hope she is okay x

Oh Bless! Sorry Billie, posted my last message before seeing this post. Must have been awful to witness, a cab I was in once knocked a kid off his bike, not easy to get the image out of your head. Sweet tea for shock and pray she'll be okay.

Was an ambulance called?
