Billie We "found" each ther on the Ski-ers and Skaters thread, and have met up a couple of times since.

Packing like mad, depart for Spain on Wednesday, hairdressers and dentist to fit in tomorrow.

SkintDragon, we were all up for a few drinks but poor Mike was so completely shattered we had one drink with him and left them to go to bed. But as Jes said, they are such an incredibly lovely family, it was a pleasure to meet them (and the rest of Mikes Mob). Lots of emotional hugs and tears, which worsened when we realised how truly lovely they were - I think it said it all when someone said to his sons 'you haven't got your t-shirts signed!' and the response from one son was 'we have a house, we don't need anything else'. (correct me if i've not remembered accurately!)

All of Mikes Mob who couldn't make it were mentioned lots of times so you weren't forgotten!

We are going to leave it to Mike to fill you in on any details, some photos will be available once they have been filtered for any potential secrets.

Thoroughly recommend a spa log cabin as a way of completing a mammoth week of driving and flat-packing! Pimms and jacuzzi jets pummelling your shoulders and arms after an *ahem 6 hour* drive, is absolute bliss!!

Though it would have been lovely to stick around a chat some more. Another time hopefully .

Crikey - that was harder than driving cross-country .

I had a wonderful adventure! Made new friends, worked out how to use a screw-driver properly and I also saw what I believe you Southerners call s... su... sun... sunshine, sunshine, yes, that's it. It's a bright, shiny thing in the sky that warms the place up and makes you want to be in a vest top and shorts!

It's also the reason I currently look like I've been skiing and have a very shiny nose - one would even say it glows!

To those of you wondering about names on piccies, I should point out we cruelly made Mike guess who was who when he met us, so it's only right that you all are left in suspense to continue guessing! :rotfl:

Besides, if I make it to the final cut and they let you hear me speak too, there'll be no hiding which one I am! :eek:

Morning all, it's so late and I should be in bed now but just popped on to catch up.

Welcome back Niccatw, glad you got home safe and enjoyed your spa break.

I had a wonderful night's sleep last night but didn't half miss my full English breakky made for me this morning! My head is still red and my nose is now following MW's and peeling like a banana! I don't think I like that sun thing much. The worst part of it is that I know I'll just fade from being red to white again! It's not fair! Why doesn't my "tan" turn into a nice healthy looking bronze?

Miggy I hope your mom is getting better.

Butti, sorry I missed you. Apparently you left just before I arrived on Thursday. Hopefully we'll meet at some other time.

Anyway, before I go to bed, I was wondering if anyone was up for a virtual online "1 Week Anniversary" party on Friday night? Maybe Happy, Billie and Miggy can show us a good time like they had without us whilst we were away?
