Ras, I understand what you mean and yes, Mike's had a life changing experience (for the better at last) I guess it's probably not such a bad thing that he's been without internet connection for this while so he can get used to his new surroundings but he knows we're all still here keeping the thread alive.

Anyway peeps, we may have come to almost the end of this chapter (maybe should refer to this as Volume 1 otherwise it could be the longest chapter in litarary history!), but there's still the issue about the stupid law that's kept Mike from his dream home in the first place.

Ras, this is another reason why we are keeping this thread alive and why we will continue when Mike creates part 2.

There is still work to be done guys n gals.

If only we could attract the attention of a solicitor or a barrister whom could point us in the right direction to tackling the legal side of this problem. It can never be right that the law protects the wrongdoer over the wronged and this is what we need to try to tackle.

Hiya peeps

Just a quick message to say reports of my disappearance were exaggerated!.

The stored stuff arrived last night and I couldn't find me router thingy...

I hardly slept last night...

Today I was setting up my PC in the conservatory. I got connection to my laptop late last night but very sloooow.

This evening, I had about five phone calls.

Then whlle I was eating a sandwich (dinner!) gallons of water started pouring out of the ceiling of the boiler cupboard. I called the beeb and they gave me their plumber's number and he was round within the hour and it took a while to solve the problem (two pipes had separated in the ceiling space).

So I mopped that up and finished my sandwich.

Then a local historian rang the doorbell and wanted to see if there was a secret passage and a basement (quite interesting) and was about to tell me about the resident ghost (Oh Great!) then it started getting dark and I had to put a load of stuff back in the house from the garden.

I haven't watered the window boxes (everything in the kitchen got watered though) but I wanted to just say... hang in there! I'm fine, if damp, and will post tomorrow.

Really sorry about the delay but nothing I could do. I'm public property at the moment and one has one's responsibilities to the local populace. So hang loose and I'll try and say something deeply significant tomorrow.

Sorry to hear about the water problems - told you that you would need the Tena! Hope it was the nice plumber chappy that was there last week, really seemed to know his stuff when I asked him a question. Hope there isn't too much damage though.

So was Neville real or just a ghost? :rotfl: Bet the historian was interesting, shame he wasn't there last week, the beeb could have used him!

Looking forward to something deeply significant :T
