    URGENT UPDATE!

The Beeb can't film tomorrow as the presenter isn't available. They will do it all day Friday. That's good for me so long as it's not an excuse... didn't sound like it.

BUT more interestingly, they say the builder has FIVE CCJs against him for 2009 according to the public database. Which is three more than I knew about and four more than he declared under oath in July...

He may be right, but if he's wrong I can get him arrested for perjury.

Problem is I can't search the database because (hangs head in shame) I haven't got a bank account with £8 in it. But tomorrow I should have been paid my benefit. (That it should come to this...!)

So, of course I rang him, and he said they all came after the court questioning. Oh yeah?

And he wanted to know why I was interested. So I told him I was talking to the BBC... and his wish to rush off to football kind of went on hold...

He was FURIOUS but he knew better than to say anything. But it's rattled his cage. He says he'll talk to the bank tomorrow and call me in the evening.... (Yeah, yeah, yeah... heard all that).

So this has suddenly become fairly interesting!

Just thought you'd want to be the first to know!

Wow. That's news. Definitely worth looking into then and see if he been lying. Do you have to pay 8 pounds? is there not a free way of checking?
It sounds like things are begining to move in the right direction.
Hope your tribunal goes o.k tomorrow. Have been following your thread with interest.

    Hi Mike

You asked who was following this thread? Me! I usually post on the wedding board but lurk over here now and again. I noticed your thread near the beginning and pop over every couple of days or so to see how you're getting on. I don't have any practical advice which is why I haven't posted before but just wanted to say good luck and I hope you've frightened the "bleeping" builder with your phone call :)

I really hope you have your dream cottage eventually and that 2010 is good year for you. I'll keep popping back to hear the good news

    Take care

Oh i wish i had been a fly on the wall for that call! :rotfl:
Maybe the found of running camera men will finally get his !!! into gear n get your money back.
The thing with the ccj's, he prob did get them all after his stint in court with you as my guessing is that he didn't take the other ones seriously either and then having that useless judge saying what she said he prob didn't see any harm or threat in getting a couple more. !!!!!!.

Oh well off to microwave tea for lil demons.;)

Well that's the last time I take a break to sleep and do housework - Interesting Developments happen when my back's turned!
I'm really sorry you won't get to spend time with your boys this weekend. Hopefully all this will mean that in the longer term you get lots more time with them.
Are they excited about you going on TV?

Just a word of advice about your benefit tribunal tomorrow. Don't tell them how effectively you're fighting this builder thing or they'll use that as an excuse to say you're not depressed. Talk about how you've been affected etc but don't say you've had a surge of energy to fight back. The key is to tell them how it is on bad days, not good days.

    Best of luck.
