I fully sympathise about your mum - I'm keeping quiet from my mum, of similar age, that my sister is probably going to live abroad and taking her adorable little daughter with her. (Sigh). I would suggest you brief the nurses and everybody you can think of - get it put on her notes not only in advance but also when you know the exact date of the broadcast (if you do).

A sign above the bed - 'Nil by telly'? Or like the sign outside Homer Simpson's dad's rest home - 'Thank you for not discussing the outside world'...

Failing that, maybe the heels, wig etc. need to make a comeback?

I notice though, that you don't mention the detrimental effect of not being able to house your kids adequately because of this twonks criminal and immoral behaviour. May add a bit of extra weight.

Yep. I did actually. Thanks for asking.

And so begins the final day or making sure the mess the nation sees on its screens is attributable to the builder, not to my slatternly* ways. I'm going to chuck it all in a cupboard and nail the door shut until they've gone home!

We need a word for slovenly and dirty men, folks! Who's with me?

It's great to see how the light hearted banter & humour has lifted the whole mood of this board. :T ;):)

    Good morning Mike,
Hope your weekend went well & good to see things still moving forward!!

1st things 1st, hope all is well with the USS...... American Battleship!;)
WD40 at the ready for posting to PO box !!! if required:p (seriously, I hope all is ok).

Thought your letter for force of sale was GREAT. Agree with pp about stressing the effects this situation has had on YOUR family especially as they will no doubt try to use a forced sale having an impact on their family:mad:. You also have 2 sons that have been affected, 1 of which has asthma etc. etc. added stress about causing your mother worry etc.etc. Annoying enough that the facts SHOULD be enough but if builder & wife want sympathy for any hardship this would cause them as a family, you be sure to remind them that they are ALREADY responsible for 2 years of hardship to yours.:mad: ..... rant over!!!!

Big day tomorrow then! Hope your nerves are holding and sooo pleased you're finally getting a chance to publicly shame the 'orrible git :D. I hope the interview has the same response in support from the viewing public as your first post did here.:T:T

Wardrobe & make-up at the ready?..:rotfl:Autograph pleeease..(sell it on e-bay with all proceeds into the re-build kitty, what do you reckon???)

Don't forget to post details of when & what channel we need to be watching...sorry, I know you're nervous but I'm really excited about it, I can't help myself!:rotfl:Really hoping you stick it to him:D:D.

Haven't forgotten about your other big interview tomorrow afternoon and as always, wishing you the very best for this too. xx

I don't suppose you'd know yet which judge you'll get but I do so hope its not the one that has already expressed his biased opinion. About time you got a break!

Have you heard any more from the nice builder lady? from what you said before, she doesn't seem the kind of person that would build up your hopes & then let you down so I hope she's still in touch.:)

I've just realised who you remind me of. All this effort and learning as you go, the mammoth fight etc. etc. You're a modern day Erin Brokovich...without the boobs!:rotfl::rotfl:

    Keep smiling & keep fighting!

    Hi!

I gave up being one of those a few years ago...

Good weekend thanks. Managed to chill a bit, surprisingly. All OK with the USS Testes. Ready to boldly go, given the least provocation. Can't be too careful at my age. May need to speak to my tailor about some modifications. Again!

Good point about the family hardship. He's bound to try to play that card. The rotter.

Wardrobe and makeup standing by. They called this afternoon to confirm they'll be here at 8am. Me, nervous? Producing hot bricks at the moment. I always think one needs a few nerves to do one's best work dahling.

The tribunal tomorrow is for the incapacity benefit, nothing to do with hearings although there is a sort of judge. (I'm confused too). I don't think I've been this busy for years.

Nice Builder Lady (NBL) will be here Thursday. She's sound as a pound. Funny how things lead to other things... I had to ring the man who is making the staircase when I have some money. American oak, glass and brushed stainless steel jobbie... and he's getting a bit narky about having lent me a staircase for 18 months (as you do). I bit the bullet and called him back expecting a rollocking, but we got on to talking about small French doors, which I need, Casa Mio being a bit on the petite side. It transpires he has a couple of sets he made for another customer who went bust and they're sitting gathering dust! I expect to strike a deal some time soon if they fit. And I am REALLY going to try and get them to fit!

Ah, Erin Brokovich, excellent film. I see the similarity. Except I am sporting moobs rather than boobs.

Still smiling (but I think I am really going to come down hard this weekend!

Unfortunately I didn't get a cheque I was expecting so my sons won't be able to stay this weekend. It's the first time, and it has made me very sad. I shall cheer myself up by opening a supermarket or something...
