Miggy, you just need perfect that look that means your OH won't question a thing ;). Besides, you been unwell, you're supposed to curl up on the sofa!

    TY for the sympathy! LOL
I'm working on 'the look' but not sure my DH will see it over the piles of ebay stuff that still adorn downstairs!
I did try curling up on the sofa - shortly after jerking awake over the computer - that's when I fell asleep again ;)

Poo - sorry about the lack of street-found money and consequent shortage of crisps. That's really not so good. You will have to start following teenagers around: they often don't bother with dropped change. Alternatively there are the classic stand-bys of phone booths (alas not so common nowadays), the front of supermarkets and any machine that gives change automatically. Good luck. :)

LOL! Are you trying to get me arrested!? I'd rather not follow teenagers around, if that's what it takes I'll gladly give the crisps a miss!

I just can't understand where al the free money has gone, unless one of the homeless people was following me to the shops last week and saw how they just missed out and now go round before me! Bah humbug! I lose out on my crisps so they can get their cheap cider!

Well, I think I realise part of the reason for my miserable mood. A few days ago I had some excess hard skin growing next to my fingernail so I pulled it off (ouch). So the finger started to swell and was really tender next to my fingernail. I had developed an absess. I pinned it tonight and released the devil, now dipping said finger into disinfectant to ease the infection.

Work has been pretty crap these last few days too. Many changes on the horizon and not much I can do about it. I sometimes wish I could get a letter saying I was being made redundant, least then it's a definite, take my 20yrs worth of redundancy pay and start my new life.

Sorry, I'm obviously still on a bit of a downer here. I guess on a positive note, this thread has inspired me to get in touch with my local councillor with a view to getting someone in to utilise my garden as a vegetable/fruit plot. No response yet but it's a start.

I am going to try to cheer up.

Good night all and speak again soon.

Ooh Poo, I've been trying to find one near me (not that I have a clue what to do, mind you - but I'd like to give it a go). I'm guessing you're not in Glasgow though? :(

Where's Spiersro... I wonder if he has a bit of spare garden :D.

niccatwa....LOVE THOSE SHOES!....I so wish I could walk in high heels, used to be able to once but that's what happens I guess when you stop going out, I went for comfort over stlye!...Most I can manage is small kitten heel, I bought a new high pair for a night out last summer but only managed to walk as far as the gate & realised I wouldn't manage a whole night in them!..maybe one day. :) PS..Good luck with your stereo system :rotfl:..definately NOT my idea of fun (useless with anything to do with gadgets & gizmos!)..Can't you strutt your stuff in those sexy heels and find someone to volounteer!!..sexy sexy!

Saxy...Unlike you to sound gloomy hun!...All that hard work with your papers this week, you deserve the weekend off, catch up on some rest & relax with your Jack! :)

DancingFairy...Good luck with your house hunting, sorry your LL is forcing the issue, it's little wonder you're finding it more frustrating than fun when you're under pressure to find something in a hurry. ;)

Miggy..I have a similar situation to you with DH & DS, they go away and think the fairies come in & clean everything for me I think, wouldn't it be lovely to have a clear space and couple of days free JUST to do the jobs we really WANT to do and not what we HAVE to do!!...Hope at least your DS cleaned the bath out properly, if he's anything like mine, ANY job they do leaves ME with more cleaning! :)

Poo...Missed you!...glad you're back & hope your fingers better soon!..
Hope things work out with your job, it's not nice when things look a bit iffy with redundancies...not knowing which way things will go is the worst feeling! They'd be mad to lose you. Good Luck honey!
But well done you with your garden! Be nice to have someone keep it all tidy AND a handy supply of lovely fresh veggies!:T

Mike...Hope your weekend is going well and enjoy your chinese tonight. Great news with the design AND the bank...things are on the up!:T

Sorry for the long post..might be my last chance for a couple of days. DS LOVED his trip...lots of activities & had a great time.:j

Had a letter already from the VOA about C/Tax rebanding!..NO:mad:

Should still be good news for some of my neighbours though so I'll pass on details next week to let them know what they can do, Back to the research for me on ours though!...So long as SOMEONE benefits from the information, at least it wasn't a complete waste of time and effort! :)

Shame!...I'd planned to buy my very own laptop (cheap!) from any refund!...teach me to never try to make any plans as these things only ever seem to work out in theory!:rotfl:

Hope to be back soon, hope I didn't miss anyone but have a great weekend everyone!:)

We all need a bit of spring-time and sunshine, methinks! Or heels and cocktails, whatever takes your fancy :D.

Well Niccatw - today turned out as one of those spring time sunshine thingymajigs you were talking about - here's hoping someone else picks up the heels and cocktails! Sunshine's enough for me!
If you fancy mentioning some kind of lottery win or free holiday - please say it as loud as you can!!!:D

Ok, so I said Friday - but when I finshed work, I came home and done nothing. Absolutely nothing! I looked at the TV - don't think I actually watched anything. Just sat there and waited until it was a decent enough hour for bed! Apparently anything earlier than 9pm is off the cards for a 20 something! :p

Frankie Boyle was hilarious on Thursday night. We were sitting in the cheap seats right at the top, and squashed up like sardines - but he was hilarious!!!
I'm a massive fan of shocking comedy so all the bad stuff was hilarious. Although (apologies if it's you I'm talking about) but there was a woman sitting behind me who laughed about 20 seconds after everyone else - and it sounded like she was having an orgasm or an epileptic fit each time. It was hilarious listening to her.

I remember having loads of things to post as I was reading - but now i've come to type it, I've totally forgotten!!! Sorry...

Hope everyones having a nice weekend.
Mike - hope you're having a nice Chinese with the kids (they're not kids though, eh? Can't remember what ages they were. 14 or something??)
Niccatw - Hope you've got your shoes back off of Mike! :rotfl:
DG + Miggy - Sorry to hear about your folks. It's horrible, and I can't imagine what it must be like!
SB - Not spoke to you for a while - hope you're well!

    Speak to you all soon!!

    Robert!

P.S. I know someone mentioned it, but you really a mad lot! haha! That's why I love you all!!!:T:T:T

Hi Robert. 16 and 18, and rising annually.

And you can go to bed any time after 7 if no-one's watching. If they ring the doorbell they'll think you're out. Beware people calling your landline though to say they're outside the front door with 19 friends and a keg of beer and they know you're in there!.

Oy, SB. You're not just accepting their decision, are you? Do you know what all the other houses are rated at? (It's online somewhere). At least make sure no-one's got a little number going. Think New Laptop just for Mummy...

I guess your pool and the ponies' exercise area might add a bit.
