No it would have been a till prompt. At the rate you have to scan things you aren't going to read the title of every single item being sold. Just think, when you are served in a shop when scanning an item does the cashier pick it up and read the title? no, they just scan it and move onto the next unless prompted by the till. Any "the computer says no" person as you say wouldn't have even looked at it!

That's got to be the best I've heard from you yet, I didnt realise they scanned products at such a blurred speed, that they cannot distinguish a sauce in a packet from a bottle of wine, even IF the till pings them to double check the item, causing them to have to pause mid flow.

Surely if they are struggling that much they should not be on the tills at all, else I could easily swap the labels about on products, disguising a bottle of whiskey into a washing up liquid bottle, just by the quick swap of a price tag. GENIUS!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

UK, I'm glad to see you that you can uncategorically state it was a till prompt despite a Co-op employee confirming that Cook In Sauces don't and never had a till prompt, just about sums you up really.

Perhaps you were in the queue behind OP?

Yes and that about sums you up. You've managed to edit the word doubt out of that post where the poster doesn't definately know. You've also edited out the fact they suspect another item triggered a prompt. Marleyboy cashiers are expected to work quickly. When have you ever had someone serve you pick up every single item and read the title before putting it back down again?

Don't think I've heard someone speak like that since infact school, not surprised to see some folk on here speak like that!

That's because as a liar you are not used to the truth obviously.

The proof was in the post you answered to.

And who at your infant school used the word verbatim?

  • The co-op do make me laugh though, my best friend is 25 and her mum works there, she went in last week to buy ciggies and got ID'd by her own mum! She didnt have any and so her mum wouldnt serve her! I know they have rules to follow but that is just gobsmacking! :rotfl:
  • Interesting that supermarkets do not accept a police warrant card has I.D

So when they stop someone for shoplifting and call the police, do they insist that the officers show a passport or valid driving licence to prove who they are. After all, anyone can hire a police uniform from a fancy dress shop.:rotfl:

Well at least we know all know you were called a liar in infant school too.

Yes, we understand this. The behaviour is understandable. It isn't, however, in any polite sense excuseable.

I had the Chicken Tonight, Chicken Breast Fillets, Peppers and some, I believe they were, button mushrooms...

I am sure that none of the other items would set off your till prompts and it was when she scanned the tomato based cooking sauce that she asked...

    There is no suspicion.
