Feel free to copy and use yourselves (if you want to look bloody silly)!
Strange, though, that UK2010 feels the need to make reference to my posts "wasting his life"; they are so clearly as droplets of diversion in the wide, tempestuous, squalling ocean of his own self-reverential pointlessness.
I've had morning dumps that were more useful and had more relevance to the online community than this clown's nonsense.
(Also, is there any chance of someone "quote"-ing one of my posts, so that when I call him a "pointless nobber" he can see it, and it's that much more worthwhile? Petty and slightly childish, I know - but it pleases me to think of it. Thanks.)

A self induce quote.............Original Posts by UK2010
I've read on here a lot the argument that having a credit card proves your age but actually it doesn't.
I've just noticed this is your second thread today about getting checked for age. Aren't you just making your life awkward?
I've read hundreds of times on the ID rant threads that seem to happen daily here of people doing the same thing.
You can't blame the shops for protecting themselves, judging age can be hard to do hence the think 25 etc, you'll always get people argue the toss saying it's obvious etc. Why don't these people just carry ID that everywhere takes!
For someone who's never seen them before how do they know they aren't fake?
Didn't Steve Martin go grey in his late teens?
Anyway the "my cards different" argument is of no use because how is anyone else suppose to know that!
If you accept any ID sooner or late some of it will be fake! You'll need to decide what you'll accept.
How many reading this thread didn't have fake ID when they were 17 if they're completely honest!
Yeah but then no more than any other fake ID is, not really the most serious of things.
You're just refusing to carry the ones you know will be taken to be awkward. Why don't you just make your life easier for yourself?
I would have been a very disgruntled 17 year old not getting my alcohol lol!!!!!
But then isn't it common sense to carry ID you know they'll take!
Can't some people just carry the ID that is needed instead of deliberately not carrying it which is exactly what the op said they will do just so stamp their feet should they ever get asked. It's deliberately causing a situation just for the sake of complaining!
I'm not going to list all the ones I've found due to the fact I could spend 10 years of my life doing so! You'll find umpteen trading standards or government links listing acceptable from of ID!
There just seems to be people who have to try and find a "legal" way out of everything. I'm not sure what thats suppose to achieve, it's not like the consumer would then have a "legal" way to force someone to take ID.
Last time I was asked was the 31/12/99 (this is with no grey hair, no receding hair and no lines anywhere on my face yet and 12 stone at 6 ft tall so no overweight showing of age either). Same with many of my friends! Sounds like you're very unlucky.
During my 20's I would have been aware that I could get checked for ID for any product containing alcohol, that includes chocolates. Quite widely known isn't it or is that just me?
If I went out to buy a chicken sauce now at 33 I wouldn't think I'd need ID. If I got asked ID I'd be able to cope a lot better than you and some of the others would on here.
Your idea of common sense might not be water tight when it comes to running a business. It's a matter of perception. As is judging someones age.
For the business owners it's very bad press to sell alcohol to anyone underage. Yeah it's going to vary who think who is whatever age but as I said it's a matter of perception. You'll just see it from your point of view and not the wider picture.
The sale of all products containing alcohol will be restricted by all main retailers.
And like I said you know exactly what I mean, alcohol that you consume!!!!!! Or have I got to point out the blinding obvious to you!
I hope it's not going to be the "alcohol" rather "than "alcohol you consume" "lie". I'll be very dissapointed if you try to pass that off as a lie!
Aslo you can make wine sauce without boiling it, maybe the seller thought this was a possibility?
I have also raised the point that some don't cook and therefore won't know the wine has been boiled. It just takes a little decency to understand these things rather than acting like a 3 year old having a tantrum.
There are recipies for wine sauces that don't involve boiling, you can find them on Google! I actually wrote maybe he thought that rather than I would make a chicken with white wine sauce myself and not boil it!!
No not that he's going to add wine to the sauce himself but he might have thought the sauce in it had not been boiled.
Thats what it's about though. It's up to the retailer what they decide their staff need to check. Regardless of what other people consider valid doesn't matter.
Why would they not want to protect themselves when selling any product containing alcohol? It's being safe. You need to be proactive not reactive in business, surely it's like that in the army?
There's a lot more age restricted products than you might imagine. Why would they not want to cover themselves to make their system watertight?
Just because I can empathize with what happend doesn't mean I wouldn't have served the op does it!
Also if you read everything on forums such as this one you wouldn't have anywhere left to shop anyway!
I'm going to have to start explaining twice again aren't I!
I don't think you can blame retailers for sticking to current guidelines until something more official is widely known.
If there was a till prompt they wouldn't fail it after all they're being measured against criteria the company set, if they put a till prompt for sauce with wine in they can't complain about the cashier asking!
No it would have been a till prompt. At the rate you have to scan things you aren't going to read the title of every single item being sold. Just think, when you are served in a shop when scanning an item does the cashier pick it up and read the title?
A till may well give a prompt for alcohol because it may have been assumed to contain some alcohol regardless of whether the alcohol has boiled off or not. They are often just flagged by head office and yes sometimes may be incorrect.
Stand in a Supermarket, look at the 40 checkouts with queues of 10 or more people, think how many times this is happening in a single city, times it by the amount of supermarkets up and down the land! It might not be 1 in 100,000 but it isn't going to be far off is it!!!
I know you make every effort to disagree with me but you're really are scraping the barrel this time! How long does it take you to get served when you have an entire trolly whilst they read every single products title? 30 minutes, an hour?????
The staff will when prompted because it could be any one of a number of undercover checks including mystery shoppers, some will use discretion some may be new or have recently been told off for getting something wrong and will want to use caution.
Cashiers are expected to work quickly. When have you ever had someone serve you pick up every single item and read the title before putting it back down again?

You quoted it as if it were a fact when it was proceded by the word doubt. That is leaving doubt out of the quote!
!!!!!!, how thick are you???
The word 'doubt' referred to a completely different part of the sentence, once again, please read it properly before accusing me of editing posts.
Here I'll make is easy for you:most likely going to get abuse for this but...i doubt the till actually ask ID for the sauce, it would be some other item, before you all jump on me,
See the word doubt there?
Now I quoted this part of the sentence, this is the part you're accusing me of editing:I work for the Coop and have check all CIS , none have age flags, none have had age flags added / removed this year,OP could you remember what other goods you had ?
See, no 'doubt' there, no editing anything out by me.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

But I DIDN'T edit, that's the whole point, there was NO editing, just like there was NO alcohol. But you didn't get that either, did you?

I can only conclude that UK2010 is an AE for a rather deluded Labour politician...
-still supporting the ridiculous waste of money the ID card system is.
-desperate to justify the millions already frittered on the scheme, including full page adverts in national & local press.
-putting the fear of God into sales assistants and retail employers, resulting in a completely ludicrous interpretation on the law.
!!!!!!, what chance have our kids got, if we the adults allow ourselves to degenerate into a society that questions the legality of a grown man buying a cooking sauce
We have guns and heroin being traded on our streets and yet people, devoid of common sense, like UK2010 think it acceptable to waste everyones time digging out ID for a mouthwash:eek:
We have absolutely no current knowledge as to the extent of illegal immigration here but we can be safe & confident, in the knowldge that no child will become intoxicated from a coq au vin cooking sauce:eek:0 -
No, editing is taking some text and changing the words. When you take the same words from one point to another - without changing the words...it's called 'quoting'.
No not quite! I'm a DJ and sometimes tracks never get released. If we want to play them we'll cut them out of the sets we hear them from. Quite often these get released on white label. They are called set edits. Basically the front and end of the set is cut off only to leave the track. So yes, editing is also cutting the front off of something!-still supporting the ridiculous waste of money the ID card system is.
-desperate to justify the millions already frittered on the scheme, including full page adverts in national & local press.
-putting the fear of God into sales assistants and retail employers, resulting in a completely ludicrous interpretation on the law.
Quite the opposite! I wouldn't care if the age for drinking dropped to 16! Just think of all the extra tax the government would get from legal !!!!ed up teenagers!0 -
I cannot say I have edited any of your work, nor cut, remixed, scratched, blended or merged them, keeping the bpm's on a constant flow, omitting any flange, ensuring a direct original format of the produced artwork you have left for me to work with
I can guarantee the track labeled "Self induced" is in its raw format, with nothing added
Not that this bares any relevance whatsoever to the original topic.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A
