Keep at it Red, I put on quite a bit of weight when I gave up (never had the guts to weigh myself!) but it balances itself out when you get a handle on the cravings and start to go back to better eating habits......stick with it it's soooo worth it :)

    Thanks Hun!!

I always thought it was the need to do something with your hands...but no, I am just starving all the time.....was always a girl who never ate breakfast....just had the coffee and 2 fags.........now I wake up famished! But yes I will have to get a handle on it, esp since I had lost 9lbs just before this!

I think that the longer nights having arrived will help...as I just love being in the garden! Although you wouldn't think it, given the state of it. So thats more exercise and more to do with my time and less to think about smoking or eating!

Do any of you have Critical Illness cover - mine is for £50k but costs whopping £50 per month. St Martin doesn't really advoicate CI cover due to the massive number of exclusions.

We also have too much life cover £200k each!!!!!!!!!!! It should be £153k joint, so having a wee looksie at that now. We don't have children so in my opinion is just to cover mortgage but maybe I am not looking at it right, any thoughts?

(Yes I do have too much time on my hands!)

And where are the ebay purchasers today?? All out, me thinks!

That's brilliant news on your DFD - I'd better get my skates on or I'll be here on my lonesome!:p

We have CCI, only because when my friend was diagnosed with cancer she struggled financially and it was the last thing they as a family needed. I did find out someone through MSE, will let you know. We have cover that covers mortgage and then separate cover to cover debts and our income, but the latter is because we have kids.

First lump sum to go - fingers crossed!

See I am thinking we only need to cover mortgage cuz if one of us becomes toast before end of it, I think that is all that needs covered in that the debts can be covered thru sale of the house if he per chance happened to fall into the disused well in the garden...by accident at night after slipping on ice - well a girl sometimes has evil dreams!

I know, I have amazed myself!!

I actually no longer have any credit cards, I haven't closed them all but remember I did burn them the time DH spent the £900 so I have no option but to pay thru' debit card, which is really no bad thing!

What a transformation and so quickly, what will we do with our money when there are no cc to pay......
Hopefully it will be 2013 when we can do some serious saving and we will be comparing how much we have put into savings.
I know once my debt is gone I am saving for a new car and a luxury holiday I think we will deserve it.
Has DH been behaving himself you have not mentioned him much, hes not in the well already is he ?

Not yet! He has not been so bad, tomorrow I will start to get business accounts in order like our own so that feeling of 'not so bad' could disappear quickley.

I have read about others on here who then get so obsessed with ms they move on to the mortgage but I think we will go for some savings and then finish our house, which in 3 years time will be very bad.

We already need a new bathroom and a new sofa but I have already decided to buy good quality when I can afford it rather than making do with some ok.....because now I understand the value of money, everything I buy will be the best deal I can get which, as we now know, may not necessarily be the cheapest but since I only intend to spend what money I need to, it will be the best value! And that plan should take me to 2020 LMAO
