So spent 4 hours playing with snowball!!!

And the outcome is.........at least I was right paying Richardo first!!

Debt Free Day - March 2013 ( I will be 45!!!) and thats with paying £1500 towards debt, now that is only possible by reducing mortgage to interest only -'saving' of £415!

This month I paid £1460.60 in debt plus arrears - but remember mum gave me £1000 towards getting all od/on o/d sorted so it was a false economy! If I reduce mortgage to interest only that means I have £415 to work with, which should allow me to meet the target of £1500

I also managed to transfer £385 from ebay/amazon sales (most of which went to paying arrears) I dont expect to make this amount every month but if I have worked this right - any extra from ebay will go to emergency savings -

OMG does that mean I could have a savings account with real live honest to God money in it - for spending on things, real things, and not be sh**ting it when insurance/car tax/xmas comes along!!

And if all that works - I could nearly call myself a responsible adult!!

    Mortgage sorted - interest only = £445.11 (£415.80 saving)

If I pay interest only for 12 months - I will only have to increase payments by £30 from what I was paying last month (£860.91) to ensure mortgage will end on same date - in other words 'borrowing £415 per month is costing me £30!

I am a happy girl! If this works I will end my 'relationship' with Ricardo in September!!

That really made me laugh seeing thanks 3 times!

Fantasic news on being able to change your mortgage to interest only and a debt free date of March 2013 is amazing, was that much better than you hoped for?

You'll be overtaking me if I don't watch out!

September will be here before you know it and Richard will be toast!

Yeah thanked 3 times - shows you were my head is - but you gave me the opportunity to play all afternoon so for the 4th time thanks!

I hadn't dared to look at dfd before - so I am pleasantly surprised but most of all delighted that someone else has worked out how much I should pay monthly to stay on top of my game!
